I still use the New World Translation. I wouldn't use ANY bible that follows the superstitous practice of taking out God's name

Grand baby pictures
by upnorth inas a grandparent i feel the need to share this picture with you.. if any of you have cute pictures of grand babies please post them if your comfortable with it.. this little guy is elias, he was born january 4th in spokane.
this picture was taken by his mother when elias was 8 weeks old.. he is my second grand baby, my 3rd one is "in the oven", they are all boys.. every time i look at this picture it makes me smile how about you ?.

I am a Witness at heart, meaning, I still believe but do not associate with the people at the Kingdom Hall anymore. I do not have any accusations about my fellow brothers and sisters but i do have complaints. I would have to say my major complaint is HYPOCRASY! People who hide who they REALLY are but at the same time judge those who do not. I CANNOT STAND THAT!
I gave up alot of friends when I started to study and got baptized and over the years of going to the hall I found that the people IN the hall were no better, if not worse," then the friends I gave up I could go on and on but I think that just about covers it.

Do you think it's possible being a witness can kill a person?
by The Finger ina close relative of mine just before he died claimed it was being a witness that was partially responsible for his death (leaving aside the blood issue).

I am sorry but I have to say this, BOLOGNA! Crossing a busy street can kill ya, sucking on a jaw breaker can kill ya, blow drying your hair in the tub can kill ya, pounding the mean streets of LA with a gun and a badge can kill ya....Point is MANY things can kill you these days. Yes, stress from Religion, Job, Marriage, life itself can kill ya. It's not as if being a JW has exclusive rights on contributing to the stress level that can cause body harm. Just my humble opinion.

by Lozhasleft ini'm wondering how people feel about us exjws either becoming atheists or continuing on with a faith in god?.
do you get angry or frustrated at the opposing view?.
i'm new but i've seen different reactions to both on here...as for me i am happy to live and let live nowadays...its ok with me whatever people want to choose for themselves..... personally i still have enormous faith and love for god....if the jws couldnt destroy it i dont think much else could...?.

I have never resented atheist's and they have never really bothered me but I can say they have at times frustrated me. I remember back in the days when I would meet one at the door and we would respectfully go back in forth with our reason's for believing and not believing, I just couldn't understand why they didn't see what I seen, it was frustrating in that way. I am sure though, that the feeling was mutual But I am good with it, I don't hate or discriminate, as was said on this thread over and over again, TO EACH IT'S OWN! or something like that!

Best Use for Jehovah's Word
by chipote ini was wondering what the best use people ever had for "jehovah's word".
for me, "jehovah's word" aided me tremendously in my gardening efforts.
i had to borrow some books from my mom to get the full use of all this spiritual information but my new strawberry plants will enjoy all this material.

Well, using the bible in that way is not for everyone, personally I would not treat it like it was treated in your picture, but that's me. I'd say the best use for Jehovah's word is in daily living. What better advice can one get then from the Creator of all things?
