I recently met an elder I hadn't seen for twenty years, and he couldn't stop bragging about his son who went to London to work in the IT industry, making big money and travelling the world. These suckholes know that pioneering is a criminal waste of time, but keep silent. Mongrels.

Self-serving slave.
by transhuman68 ini was reading an autobiography of a young man who inherited a publishing empire, and his only purpose in life was to preserve the wealth that he controlled.
the wts seems to have the same ambition- keeping itself relevant and viable by any means available.
they try to use any current event or political situation as a fulfillment of bible prophecy, and when that fails they just say 'wait on jehovah'.

The WTS seems to have the same ambition- keeping itself relevant and viable by any means available. They try to use any current event or political situation as a fulfillment of Bible prophecy, and when that fails they just say 'Wait on Jehovah'. It is a cynical game played over and over again with each new generation of Witnesses. They are corporation men- their primary loyalty is to the empire they have inherited.

Audio: Generation teaching as explained at the San Diego District Convention 05-30-2010
by kurtbethel inthis is an excerpt from the final talk of the day, "remain in the secret place of the most high".
i looked around as this explanation was being offered up, and the looks on the faces of people there was mostly disinterest.
this is a very convoluted explanation that reminds me of someone running a con and trying to cobble together an explanation to deal with legitimate objections to their false claims.. http://www.sendspace.com/file/dodp4w.

Thanks for the upload. It's interesting hearing history being made as this two-bit religion discards everything we were brought up to believe in. No doubt some of the older dubs will leave over this, but for the rest, what does another misguided interpretation of scripture matter? They are in Jehovah's organization.

Most-Ignored Scriptures by JWs
by Mad Sweeney inthe watchtower has been known for over 130 years as a great scriptural cherry-picker.
they pick out disparate unrelated verses and combine them to support the wackiest of wacky doctrines.. on the other hand there are many scriptures they almost never address, whether because they contradict wt doctrine or because they simply don't have a clue what they mean or how to spin them to the wt advantage.. one of these is revelation 19:1 that mentions a "great crowd" "in heaven.
" the only time it is ever brought up it is dismissed.

Seriously, this is the only place where I can discuss the big questions about life, without having someone trying to give me a beer or a Bible!
