For those of you who've watched the Witnesses documentary, let's suppose for a moment that...

for those of you who've watched the witnesses documentary, let's suppose for a moment that the org was forced to make their database of abusers available to the courts.

if this database is as detailed and meticulous as it is claimed, how in the world could the org (in its present form) survive that?

assuming they don't go bankrupt after all of the new abuse claims, would they go underground, shut down the kingdom halls, stop the preaching?

In my opinion, exactly why the organization doesn't want donations earmarked for a specific cause. All should be donated to the Worldwide Work™ and let them decide what work needs the funds.

I doubt this has anything to do with reaching the public, this is about producing high quality video to entertain, indoctrinate and control the flock. Caleb and Sofia seem to be effective with the little ones.

i remember seeing experience where someone woke up their family using the family worship/study.. i believe i first saw it years ago on freeminds but i also thought that the person was a regular here and shared the same info.. i can't find it.. if you know what i'm referring to and know where i can find that, please direct me.. thank you..

You May Now Embrace the Bride!

just yesterday, a pimi jw that i've known for years told me that at the end of a wedding they recently attended in pennsylvania, usa, the "brother" that officiated the ceremony concluded by saying to the bride and groom, "you may now embrace the bride.

no kissing.

just a hug.

I just asked a family member who attended a JW wedding last weekend. They did indeed include the kiss at the end of the ceremony.

I imagine the wedding with the embrace was requested by the bride and groom. You know how sheltered these kids can be.

My wife would have probably requested such a finale, perhaps even a handshake, if we had married in a KH. She to this day won't do so much as hold my hand in front of her mother.
