  get out shouted the audience you must be ashamed of yourself.

  the crowd was in a hysterical state, every time that we tried to say something we were silenced by the clapping and screams which got louder and louder of the majority of the two hundred people in attendance.

  Jehovah's Witnesses - Are they loving?

  jehovah's witnesses love to claim that they are a true religion because they are the most loving people on earth.

  they rant and rave about how they apply john 13:35 to themselves.. in a recent conversation with djeggnog, i was shocked at some of the hateful things that he was saying to me.

  now i know that i have been in some pretty heated debates with others, but i try to never make it personal.

  What is your definition of a "Fundi" or a Fundamentalist?

  i've been called a "fundi" many times in my discussions with people on the board, and i'd like to know what your definition is of a "fundi".

  don't google it.

  i just want to hear your personal definition.. i find it interesting because i don't go to any church.

  At the rate you are going, Brotherdan, you will be an atheist within 5 years--and a hardcore one at that.

  I don't see that happening, but who knows. Right now, though, I accept that there are some things for which there IS absolute truth. Faith is important. But it is not everything. And I really believe that you can logically come to the conclusion that there must be a God and that is an absolute truth.

  many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

  But if they are based on your own point of view, then they are not necessarily "truths".

  I read through it and it was a "light" fare. There was 1 comment about being loyal and not talking to df'd relatives. They spend a ton of time plugging the Family Study Night.

  Nothing too crazy in this one, at least that I saw. It was rediculous, of course. But nothing too shocking. They had to take a break after the 2/15 comment about df'd and demons.

  Did you do very early morning field service?

  in my old congregation, there was a group of dubs who started field service at 4am - yes, that's 4 o'clock in the morning.

  i went with them on a few occasions.. to be ready, you'd have to be up at least 3:30am to get washed and dressed and maybe get a bite to eat.. at 4am, our designated driver would show up along with a couple of sleepy eyed jws trying to "get their time in.

  " many times we'd go pick up a jw only to find they forgot about service and overslept.. .
