I don't see the NT talk about destroying children. Show me a scripture in the NT where God condemns the children of the wicked? Children that are not old enough to make a stand for righteousness.

by just n from bethel ini just looked up some population statistics.
i saw there are over a billion children under the age of 10 on the earth today.
(didn't research too hard - just googled it.

What Is Truth?
by Reopened Mind ini was the one at the meetings who had a dictionary or at least a definition written in the margin.
i thought it was important to understand the meaning of words to better comprehend the lesson.
i liked that the writers would throw out words which were not commonly used to help us expand our vocabularies.

Truth is subjective AND objective
Subjective truth is not truth at all. There is only 1 truth. Either God exists or he doesn't. 1 truth. Either Jesus is the only way to life, or he isn't. 1 truth. By nature, truth MUST be objective. Otherwise it is not truth.
There is very little that we know or CAN know that can be called truth, because so much of what we know at any given time IS subjective. However, Jesus said that He IS the truth. And that is the truth that I hold on to.

This is where JWs are so completely wrong. Revelation talks about a 7 year tribulation. So "Armageddon" could not happen "tomorrow". Plus, God's judgement is only on the wicked. Children are not old enough to be judged as wicked. So it is reasonable to conclude that they will be saved. The rapture of the church (the righteous) would thus include a rapture of all children since Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them.

recently i read the first five or six chapters of john's gospel and found some things that stood out.
of course i'm sure i'm not the first, second or one hundreth to note this, but its all part of the process .

Nice job, EE. Read 1John 5:1 too. This single verse could replace the entire "What does God require" brochure. It says the 1 thing he requires in this single verse.
"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God."
But JWs say that the only ones born of God (or born again) are the 144,000. This is serious because being born of God is the only way into the Kingdom.

Could you direct me where I could find some information from the Jehovah's Witnesses or the Watchtower on why they filed a "friend of the court" in support of Jimmy Swagart? And then pulled out when I was forced to pay tax?
Could you direct me to where I could find out where they published an answer to why they joined the UN as a NGO?
It's been MY experience that JW's no the LEAST about their organization. They are in the dark and have no idea what the GB is up to. Their research goes no farther than their current WT.

a prime example is the word 'apostate'!.
i have been called 'spiritually weak' for quitting field service, meetings etc.. how would you respond (without swearing or giving a punch up the hooter), if you were called this?.

by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

My mother in law just wrote me "The 2/15 WT was so lacking in love it was absolutely absurd. As a df'd person, I can guarantee that it is not something that helps a person towards repentance. It verges on cruelty."
