i'm fairly new to this board.

since i'm currently having to deal with a stressful situation, i was interested in this site (friends in common and info).

when i first posted, i hadn't introduced myself (just didn't think it was important), however, my first post was met with some serious hateful "personal" attacks by few on a subject which i was just asking a question regarding the mayan calendar....... i now see there's more personal attacks on other posters.

Beks? No a little earlier than that when I gave my apology about verbal abuse. I think I handled my self fine with Bluegrass last night/this morning. I know you were snickering in the corner when he took the time to pull qoutes from at least of dozen of my qoutes to make me look bad. I didn't attack him back personally. I just agreed with him for the most part... You see the mods took care of him and his thread.

He's just an angry confused guy. He's done it to others that disagree with him on other topics and launched into personal attacks. Honestly he hasn't done anything I haven't done so I won't judge. But I will call him on his B.S.

I have been guilty of being a Jackass in the past and I feel I have turned over a new leaf. But it's never a good idea to pick a fight with a guy that uses "cagefighter" as his screen name.

theodore ("ted") jaracz1925-2010.

about 7:30, june 9, 2010, theodore ("ted") jaracz, one of the members of the governing body ruling over jehovah's witnesses, died.

previously, on may 19, 2009, he had had a serious stroke, but recently seemed to have made a big recovery, giving some assembly talks.

Is it okay for a JW to be hypocrite?

Sometimes it takes living in hypocrisy to make someone think about their beliefs vs their actions. Good Advice is rarely taken.

Good points Scully, it's nothing have not thought about before. I think God uses all of us to help others and maybe the story of Paul serves a purpose for some. I dunno. I got enough to sins that I will have to answer for soon enough to not obesess over the sinfulness of homosexuality.

But ya, that Paul...he's an odd one regardless.

I'd like to know who you were before you were baptized a JW? Were you raised a JW? What religion or denomination of Christianity did you profess before you became a JW.

if you were a convert to the watchtower society , how well did you know the doctrines of the faith before your conversion?

I am a zygote. Upon my birth my parents assumed their choice of religion was the correct one for me as well. I was baptized at 12 and walked around a lot.
