  greetings, fellow posters, happy couples, resigned singles:.

  i know many of you are happily partnered, irrespective of wt rules and regulations on "appropriate" matches.. if you have had a so-called unscriptural divorce and are or were known as a jw, have you dated, lived with another person - a "significant other" - or remarried?.

  if you can answer "yes" to any of the above, what were the consequences for you amongst jw family and friends?.

  I recently got in contact with a childhood friend who left the JW's like I did upon finishing high school. He told basically even one that got married or parents of our friends have gotten divorced and remarried other JW's. They just took their df'ing as the price and immediately worked on and got reinstatement. It sounded like it was no more than getting a speeding ticket... LOL.

  here on jehovahs-witness.net i have come across theists, atheists and those that are agnostic that all claim to be friends because they're ex-witnesses like it is all that is needed for religious unity.. .

  why isn't this on the ad?.

  because every atheist i've talked to believes jehovah's witnesses are just another organization of stupid adults with imaginary friends, just a splinter of mainstream christianity a lot like the branch davidians.

  Verbal abuse and the JW's

  in a previous post i mentioned how i just recently became aware of "verbal abuse" and how i am guilty of it in my personal life.

  some people think of verbal abuse as launching into a profanity laced tirade against someone.

  that is a shallow definition, what hit home for me was the term "reviling".

  Seriously, If I talked to her parents it wouldn't even involve doctrine or beliefs. I really think Alice is a few bricks short of a load. They probably don't like her at the KH when she doesn't take her meds. Am I right?
