I find it totally amazing that a visit from a son to his mother can be made awkward by the rules of the WTBS. So sad.

My wife and I get up an go to work for 40hours a week. We relax on the weekend. We travel a little bit. We go to concerts and sporting events. We spend time with each other and our families. We take care of our home and our yard. I enjoy being part of the world. The world is a pretty nice place. Sure there will be issues now and then but like people are saying, try and make the right decisions and you'll find living life is great. I don't know what the JW's think happens to people when they leave them. Like their world implodes or something. People can't possibly be happy outside of the JW's!!! LOL!!!! Most of us have found that we are much happier!!

Some people like to make things more important than they really are. Friendly competition? Don't most soccer matches end with the mandatory riot? Face it. Soccer is extremely boring. It will never catch on in the US. Don't flatter yourself, the game is not that difficult to understand. In my neighorhood they have leagues of 5 year olds playing the game. I'm sure the average NFL quarterback has a whole lot more going on in his head than the typical a soccer player! LOL!!! Soccer......You know its boring when theres more talk about the horn blowing than the actual game! HaHa!!!
KEYSER..I too have always wondered why people even play a game if it ends with a tie....Whats the point? To make everybody feel good?

It was just too much! Meetings 3 times a week, preparing for meetings, personal study, family study, parts on the meeting, District Conventions, Special Day Assemblies, field service, etc....
There is NOTHING I want to do THAT much! I like sports and music. I wouldn't want to go to a sporting event 5 or 6 times in the course of a week. Imagine going to see a concert of your favorite performer 5 or 6 times a week! You would HATE it!!
Also doing research online and finding out a lot of stuff you didn't know as a JW helped push me away. Flip flops on so many JW beliefs also helped me out the door.
