  i kinda figured i would read many negative things concerning jw, i was not disapointed............ i say if you ae not happy not just in the jw, but anywhere, life it too short move on.. .

  i myself am a wittness, an anointed witnes .

  there is no shame is sharing yr hope and i am varry happy with mine.

  been out 15 years now and no wts literature since.. .

  do you keep items of clothing for sentimental reasons?.

  i've got a few garments that i've been hanging onto for some reason.

  even though i'm never going to wear them again (because of size, wear or condition), i can't bring myself to throw them away.. .

  yup!

  I have my dads brand new leather jacket he bought right before he passed away 8 years ago. Last week I almost gave it to my father in law. He tried it on and it fit him but I couldn't quite let it go. He totally understood. It just hangs in the closet and will never fit me...maybe one day I'll let it go.

  Wobble......you make an excellent point when you say that they have no power over you! I feel the same way. Just a bunch of uneducated men that are making themselves feel or seem important. It's really quite comical!

  Stonewall....I attended the Salisbury Assembly Hall a couple of times. It was a 3 hour ride for me one way! My last assembly there was on a Superbowl Sunday. I remember leaving early so I could make it back home to watch the big game and one of the brothers from my hall asked me if I was staying to help with the clean up afterwards. Needless to say I chose the Superbowl. Last time I went to Salisbury.

  Only JW's will survive Armageddon...

  is there anything in print by the wtbs that actually says or strongly suggests only jw's will survive armageddon and live in the new system?

  i know someone that has a hard time believing that god will destroy almost 6 billion people and doesn't recall ever being told that only jw's will survivie..

  Blacksheep.....Technically yes they are a JW..baptized...but haven't been to meetings, Conventions, Field Service, or the Memorial for about 5 years.

  I find it totally amazing that a visit from a son to his mother can be made awkward by the rules of the WTBS. So sad.

  this is an assertion leveled at me recently.

  the speaker has the advantage over me in that i was born and bred in the borg and have only recently jumped ship.. what, can i ask would your responce be to this?.

  My wife and I get up an go to work for 40hours a week. We relax on the weekend. We travel a little bit. We go to concerts and sporting events. We spend time with each other and our families. We take care of our home and our yard. I enjoy being part of the world. The world is a pretty nice place. Sure there will be issues now and then but like people are saying, try and make the right decisions and you'll find living life is great. I don't know what the JW's think happens to people when they leave them. Like their world implodes or something. People can't possibly be happy outside of the JW's!!! LOL!!!! Most of us have found that we are much happier!!
