Bats in the Belfry's letter has an error in it. An error that the Society would never make--at least not THIS kind of error. The letter states "20th Century," which is a mistake the Society would never make. Thus, the letter is bogus.

the last four years:.
with all the changes in the 'generation', 'sealing', doctines, etc.
- there have been unexpected [i imagine] jumps in this number.

the past is gone.
the future isn't here yet.
there is no certainty of an afterlife.
You can only live in the present. The past is gone and the future has yet to arrive. The present is it.

There is no Harry Potter! J.K. Rowling's books are works of fiction. Do you not know that?
If nobody wrote a book about Marie Antoinette or Hannibal, etc., they wouldn't exist either? Is that what you're saying? People don't exist unless there's a book written about them?

i still feel the need to worship and the desire for faith, but having been raised as a jw and not knowing anything else, i just feel confused and lost as far as faith goes.
sometimes i think that maybe their isn't a god, i just don't know......

I was in my car, the sun was on my face, the wind was blowing through the window, and I just placed myself in God's hands, and asked Him to lead me wherever he wanted me to be. I had such a calm wash over me. I understood then the meaning of 'cast your worries upon him,' and the peace that comes with it, because that is what I felt. Peace." (Emphasis mine.)
When it happened for me, that too is exactly what I experienced. A "peace" unlike any other that I have ever experienced. Thank you for sharing.

the watchtower teaches that there is no such thing as a spirit or soul leaving the body that can consciously experience anything in heaven unless you are annointed and you die.
and the body certainly couldn't go in their view.
however the apostle paul plainly taught otherwise.
The person the apostle Paul was referring to was not himself. It was John.
this morning my brother asked me a question about the following biblical text.
i indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than i, whose shoes i am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the holy spirit and in fire.matthew 3:11. .
apparently, it seems, the brothers statement came from the societys cd-rom.
OTWO:
I am sure that YOUR Master thinks I'm a "real SOB." That doesn't bother me in the slightest. What you think is entirely irrelevant and patently a non-issue.
So you "feel kinda bad about those children"? "Kinda"? But not REALLY? So what are YOU doing about it? "Kinda"? Nothing? What relief are you pursuing in that regard if you feel "kinda bad" about them? I should hope that you are doing something--something. And how is it you KNOW that they're "never . . . going to become Christians anyway"? You know whom Jaheshua will choose and not choose?
You are "Pathetic."

DUR: I think it's okay to be irked by that guy.

DUr: I don't know about others necessarily but you can ask as many questions as it pleases you to ask of me without me ever becoming unkind or disrespectful. I, for one, have absolutely no problem in being asked honest questions by anyone. What does irk me is the disrespectful, unkind, speech often exhibited on this board, simply because we may differ in understanding, thinking, or belief. There is one here on this board that irks the you-know-what out of me simply because he has shown himself to be condscending, rude, disrespectful, arrogant, pompous, supercilious, mean, biting, blasphemous, etc., etc., etc. I don't like him. Simply put. Could that change? Sure. Is it likely? Only Jah and His Son know. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

To the Self-Proclaimed Window Washing G.E.D. Dummy who wrote:
"Why couldn't your Lord just speak to your brother to let him know He is there and that there are answers to his questions? Your Lord could have directed your brother directly to look up the words. And then your Lord could remind him to feed his dog and mail his letters."
I think Tec answered your above question quite nicely. In addition to what Tec said, however, my Lord could have, and may even have done so. My brother, however, perhaps was not in a place to "hear" Him just yet. That's a possibility. But maybe the "Dummy" that you are is unable to grasp it. No, my Lord, in all likelihood would NOT have directed my brother to feed his dog or mail his letters. Why? Because he has only cats and does not write letters.
But what do you want from a "G.E.D. Dummy"? Really?
