SBC:
I do understand what you are stating--truly I do. While I disagree with you, however, I do understand. As for your last statement:
I asked. He hasn't said anything but the "voice" I hear in my head says that the bible did not originate from superhuman intelligence.
While you know what you heard the voice saying to you in your head, you just haven't attributed it to Jaheshua--yet.
In any case, with all due respect. . . .
May Jah bless and the Christ shine upon you.

OT, you wrote:
Come on now, we would be told that we have to first have full faith that we would hear "Jaheshua" before we could even start to hear him answer our questions.
Well, I am glad to see that you are finally getting it, OT. Kudos to you! Baby steps are good.
You also wrote: “Old habits are hard to break.”
Indeed. Indeed, indeed.
OT, I want to ask you something, if you don’t mind. In speaking with others on this board with whom you do not agree regarding their position on a topic or what they believe, you come across, it seems to me, as someone unusually angry and bitter. Mean even. Is that how you want to come across to people? Mean? Bitter? And angry?
Another question: What kind of man were you when you were IN the organization? Seriously. Did you extend kindness and mercy to others? Have you ever disfellowshipped anyone? And, if you did, was there ever any attempt at mercy?
Just curious.
May Jah bless and the Christ shine upon you.

SBC, you wrote:
Yes'm. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the concept of putting faith in Jesus but only accepting parts of the bible....
SBC, with all due respect, Jaheshua (Jesus) was around walking in Israel long before the New Testament started to be written. So, the fact is the early Christians put their faith in him before the New Testament writers even began to write what they wrote. So, they put their faith in him before there even was a New Testament. Does this make it easier to “wrap your mind around the concept”? I am being respectful and serious here, SBC. So, it is possible (and probably best) to place your faith in him without the use or need for much (or parts, as you say) of the Bible. Remember, Jaheshua did say to the writers (Scribes) at that time: “Woe to you Scribes and . . . .”
SBC, you asked Tec, and I’m sure Tec can and will answer you (and I hope Tec doesn’t mind me responding to your next question here):
How do you know which parts of the bible to accept & trust?
This is a question you can ask Jaheshua. If anyone can truly answer that question—seriously—it’s Jaheshua. Ask him. And he’ll give you the correct answer to that question.
May Jah bless and the Christ shine upon you.

so were do I go now that ive left the kingdom hall?
by arimatthewdavies inmany people for one reason or other have quit going to the kingdom hall me included!
i dont object to the people for they are clean well dressed human beings, i object to the way a prefabricated doctorine is distributed, useing hugh amounts of books magazines and media to attempt to study the bible,i feel obligated to say i agree with that method and under pressure to promote it, theirfore i stoped going because pretending to agree with this method and rendering lip service to it in order to keep from being disfellowshiped is a lie,and liers go to the lake of fire, .
so now that we have left the hall were do we go?

Ari:
“So now that we have left the hall were do we go?”
That is a similar question to the one asked by Peter. Actually, the questions asked were:
Jesus said to the twelve, "Will you also go away ?" Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go ? You have the words of eternal life. . .”--John 6:68.
The question really isn’t a “‘where’ do we go,” although it is the question the Society writes in its literature, although it is the question asked by many Witnesses, the question really is a “to whom shall we go?” Thus, your seeming assumption that now you go to bible believing churches is not quite right. (Certainly you can go there and no one is going to stop, nor should they.) Talk about God and His Son, yes. However, know that the Holy Spirit will only lead you to his Father, Jah. Worshipping God is about forming a relationship with God and His Son. It’s not about bible study, attending churches, and things like that. It’s about relationship.
If you want to hear the sayings of eternal life, then you must listen to the Christ when he speaks to you. And he will speak to you, if he hasn’t already. If you’re not interested in the sayings of eternal life, then don’t listen when He speaks to you.
May Jah bless and His Christ shine upon you.

WWs:
Inkie, you admitted in a different thread that you hear voices.
No, not exactly. I admitted in that other thread, and admit here, that I "hear" one voice (not many). That voice being the voice of my Lord.
My question is if your child told you they were hearing voices would you encourage them? Or would you be concerned about their mental health?
WWs, I do have a son. Would I "encourage [him]"? That would depend. On what? It would depend on who the voice identified itself/himself to be. If the voice identified himself to be that of our Lord and spoke of godly love and all that which is good and kind, etc., I think you get my drift here, then, yes, I would encourage him to continue "hearing" to continue "listening" to that voice that speaks of things honorable, loving, kind, just, etc. If he heard things contrary to what I just described, then, yes, I would be concerned not only for his "mental health" but for his "spiritual health" as well. As a matter of fact, WWs, children "hear" better than adults do. And, incidentally, my son has heard the Lord speak to him and I am ever so glad. He is a good son and I am quite proud of him. But he does not visit this Board. I would discourage him from coming here. But that's just me being a father.

OT -- whatever!
Incidentally, OT, I am not "angry." I am amused.
By the way, I don't think you'd make it through the first round in a spelling bee regardless of your pronunciation.

SBC: To qoute you,
"But, wait, since those acts are incompatible with the concept of a god of love and that constitues one (of many) massive contradictions, I don't think the bible was written by a benevolent creator at all! So to answer your question I don't think god or christ condone rape anymore than Allah condones it." (Emphasis mine.)
And there you have it! C'est simple.
