CANADIANS ONLY

ive been threatening to move back to canada for years now.

and i finally picked a date of next year with me and the (then) new wife.. however im getting a lot of talk from people who have been outtheir recently, and still live their that its very hard.

ive seen houses for sale at about 60 percent of northern ireland prices and jobs seen available and pretty well paid.

but im hearing from others that you cant afford cardboard boxes in toronto or vancouver where i want to go. and that healthcareis crap. with no government help. ive heard car insuranse is high too. and crime is bad.

i dont know if this is true (i hope not) but please help me with honest answers.

so heres what i want to know. if i had 80.000 dollars to bring and was able to earn tradesmans wages, say 250.00 a day. would i be able to set up happily in canada ?

she is not going back to the hall again!.

my only thoughts are this.

if you can get a witness when they are feeling bad about the "truth" then leave a little titbit for them to think on they will eventually ask to read the books themselves.

ive been here for around 5 years, but rarely write these days.

well i had to tell everybody the good news.. since i drifted away (thanks to many but mostly simon and fakel) i have helped 7 people leave.

today my mom has told me shes never going back.

Karate

i started doing karate a few months ago.

today, an old memory came flooding back - i remember my mother telling me when i was a child and asked how people could punch through piles of wood, and breeze-blocks and suchlike, she told me it was because they were helped by the demons.

for years i thought karate was a satanistic activity (no, really!)...

i havent posted in ages but i wanted to congratulate you for taking up karate.

ive been fighting for 18 months now and remember how i was told not to do it as a jw.

im really glad im free to enjoy martial arts.

one thing though. you should look into MMA or Vale tudo as well as these are the truest expression of fighting skills and form a complete system, ie stand up, ground fighting and so on. this is something Karate lacks.

its been a while but i wanted to tell you that ive just got engaged to a great girl.. while i love her, her family are pressuring me to set a date and book a hotel!

im only engaged 4 days so i think its out of order.. please give me suggestions on how to deal with mother in laws without ending relationships.. her mother is insisting on church, cake, food and tells me her son has to be in the bridal party.

they want me to go to thier church sio i can get married thier , but as you kinow im not keen to join another church so quickly.. i only wanted to show her i loved her and was serious, but not this serious so soon.. am i wrong ?.

when i was a jw a was lucky enough to be in a hall with a "click" you know the type.

they all hung out together.

went to quickbuilds together and ensured that they were the ones with power in the hall.. i remember trying to join the quickbuild team as a 14 year old, only to be asked by the elder in charge of it (and allso in charge of the click), what building qualifications i had!.

i remember trying to join the quickbuild team as a 14 year old, only to be asked by the elder in charge of it (and allso in charge of the click), what building qualifications i had!. i was asked so they could refuse me then the elder and his cronies could continue their binge drinking after the days work.( hilary step might know the guy)

they would all stand at the back of the hall and talk and if you dared to approach them you got made fun of or ignored. they groomed young guys for positions in the hall if they thought they would be "one of the boys". needless to say i never was.

i tried to be a good witness and talked to my classmates about the truth they just pretended they werent jws. funnily enough these sadass men have all stuck in bar one despite my knowing about their multiple infidelities and alcaholism.

did you have any similar peaple in your hall ?

had a car crash today...

hi everyone;feeling sorry for myself and i'm really bored .

did'nt have a very good day today,,, .

i was wearing my seatbelt so luckily did'nt hit the windscreen i saw him in my mirror a couple of seconds before he hit and i could'nt do a thing-it was awful, waiting for the impact, i was thrown forwards, then back again.

sorry to hear about your crash.

i have had about 10 crashes all but one my fault. the one that hurt the longest was getting rearended this august.

get a lawyer, asap DRINK DAMMIT the drugs just make it better!

and try to do stretchs i think they help.

HOW "TRUE" ARE JW HOURS ?

as a jw i admit to "massaging" my hours nearly every month to keep up with the expected amount.. my brother never put in hir report for nearly 2 years.

i was amazed when i asked the secretary he told me "i allways put a few hours in if people forget" !!!

so my brother was a regular publisher despite not going out on service.. he was one man.

he was one man. if say only 2 percent of witnesses lied, (i reckon its more like 90 percent) and a tiny amount of elders lied anyway, then the jws figures are meaningless.

i am too lazy the do the math, but i imagine they are about 30 percent overblown at least.

any thoughts ?
