  Did Saddam use WMD's on his own people or not? We both know the answer is yes, so he did indeed have them

  The answer is.....he had mustard gas, which by definition, is not a WMD. It is an unconventional chemical agent. And who gave it to him? A nuclear bomb is a WMD. Tim McVeigh's truck bomb could be classed as a WMD. Hell, a simple gun could be considered a WMD seeing how guns have killed many more people on earth than any chemical or biological attack ever has.

  He used mustard gas on the Kurds. That is unless you don't believe this....or that Hitler tried to kill the Jews.

  You forgot the Iranians there as well. A weapon is a weapon is a weapon. Name a US president in the last 20 years that has never ordered the military to drop a single bomb. Just because one weapon take a few days to render a body fully incapacitated or to kill it, does it make the other better because it kills within a fraction of a second? Iran and Iraq were at war with each other. Why should we care what methods they used to kill each other? How does that concern us with the exception of our gov't wondering if the arms we supplied to Iraq worked or not? It shouldn't. If GWB had an attempt on his life, do you think he would just forget about the group of people who attempted the assassination? or do you think he would go cowboy on their asses and try to get revenge? Saddam did the same thing, except he picked up a little more collateral damage than what he probably expected. But why should we care about Saddam? What did he do to us? Nada.

  well gang, i have posted off and on here for several years now.

  i have been to several apostafests and meetups, some i even organized.

  i have met some truly wonderful people, and there has always been a sense of camraderie that i have felt.

  I'm still trying to decipher this phrase:

  negative flack coming from the far left wing of the X JW community, especially since Im pursuing this in a Christian venue first.

  I don't know whether to look at this politically or spiritually. When you mention far left wing with xjw community, to me that would reference the athiests of the board. Moving on from that observation, it would then suggest that you will be bringing up some sort of extreme God connection, whatever that may be. But honestly, everyone here respects everyone else's religious standing -- athiest to born again x'tian. The only way I could see you garnering negative press from the board is by hauling off to Brooklyn on a Wednesday and taking out a few elite members of a certain book publishing corporation(but in the back of many minds, this would be welcome - c'mon people, many of you would be singing out with joy if that happened but would never admit it publically). Now unless you are fibbing about killing someone to keep us off-guard from calling the authorities, I don't know. I would hope not, but when some people finally reach that breaking point in their life when nothing else matters, they are capable of doing anything irrational.

  I'm at a complete loss as to what you are going to announce. But I'm sure a good ol' fashioned WT bbq would cheer you up.

  WMD's have been found. I guess you missed that huh?

  You're kidding, right? Got proof of this from the Pentagon or the Defense Department or from Bush's own mouth? Or are you repeating what Santorum, a Senator, said? It's funny that the finding of those "WMD's" didn't make a bigger splash in the news. I wonder why?

  And considering that Saddam used WMD's on his own people, I would say that was a pretty clear example that he did indeed have them. Another fact that people just don't want to talk about.

  Would you mind breaking down the dates for us here? I could say the Germans have mustard gas buried in their backyard and that those are considered WMD's, but would that be an accurate statement? Of course not. Again, provide us with some dates as to when Saddam used these weapons. And what exact remnants of WMD's did they find? Were they still lethal? Usable?

  LOL. Wow. Talk about trying to manipulate the evidence to make it fit your goal.

  You'd probably get your ass kicked for being a disrespectful, attention seeker whose sole motivation was to show off and show how "special" they were, while accomplishing absolutely nothing.

  Even so, it still would be well within an American's right to do such if they felt it was warranted. And there is nothing the government could do about it. The way you worded your statement tells me that is how you view all flag burners. It seems you would also be the type of person who would ignore anything they had to say - even if it was highly warranted on their part. People who literally have a limited view, such as what you described, are the ones who are quick to paint these people as anti-whatever-is-being-espoused-by-the-government-at-the-present-time. It is the people who prefer to close their mind to what is happening around them and listen to only one source, or sources that are driven by a single ideal, are the the ones we should be afraid of.

  burning flags is illegal

  RS, are you sure about that? As far as I recall, I can still burn a flag of any country that I please, including the US flag. If I did it in public, the police couldn't do anything about it, but I would probably get my ass kicked by a group of gung-ho, my-country-right-or-wrong, folk.

  Hey Purps, try putting your camera on a tripod facing a freeway(or do it at the one with the bridge) and setting your exposure time to 10-15 seconds(if your camera will allow it). I think you'll get the result you're looking for. But the tripod is important!

  hi everybody.. i've been a long time lurker here (as are sooo many others.

  further to following mouthy's thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/129936/1.ashx , i noticed that the 'six screens' website is finally shown as being able to be 'checked out'.. i believe minimus first posted about this some months back.

  When I got a sneak peak before everyone else did, I suggested that the *theme* of the site would turn away active jw's. The content isn't the problem. It is the way its presented.

  When you have exjw's telling you that the site has a "creepy" feel to it and that the music sounds like something out of the Twilight Zone, I would take that as constructive criticism and make the necessary changes to suit my target audience. But it's obvious that the site owners have already put countless hours into the design and are not about to change the layout. That's too bad.

  Randy's sites and the old Quotes site are perfect examples of getting current jw's to check things out for themselves without feeling like the demons are going to jump out of the screen. Again, these are just my opinions. Don't take that as my being totally anti-SSotW. It's yet one more site to show the dark side of the WTS.
