  for all of us who dread the knock on saturday morning only to find the po and the so at your door with stupid grins, here to find out why you havnt been to the meeting for a year.. ask em in, when they get over all the fake niceties and get down to the business of trying to readjust you or kick you out, try this.. just tell them you where stumbled out of the truth.

  stumbled by some responsible bros that you would never have dreamed would put you in this position.. stumbled out by the lying gb.. there is no come back.

  you cant be kicked out for being stumbled.. boyakaashaa!

  At what point did you realize JW's were a Cult?

  most of us x-jw's at one point no doubt defended the jw's when called a cult.

  althought being out since 95', when i first came here it took awhile before i could use the cult word to describe the jw religion.

  finding out about the pedophile scandal was disgusting, but it was probably finding out here about the wts history and terrible personal experiences of some on this board that made me finally admit that the jw's were a cult.

  The first night I looked at apostate material on the net, I knew it was a cult. I then shortly went on this forum.

  Also reading Combatting Cult Mind Control helped to solidify that point.

  Lady Lee, I would recommend AVG FREE edition, has worked great for me. Also you might want to get an anti-spyware program like "Spybot - Search & Destroy".

  A virus cannot fry your motherboard, it could have been just a physical failure which tends to happen from time to time.

  hi guys, i joined the forum 2 days ago & i thought i should formally introduce myself to all you fellow apostates and while at it regail you with my story which may be familiar to some/all of you.. i was born into a jw family.

  my father converted from traditionalist (south africa) while my mother is a second generation jw.

  surfice to say i grew up (together with my three siblings) in the same jw drill... meetings, field ministry and secular school and thats about it.

  many people for one reason or other have quit going to the kingdom hall me included!

  i dont object to the people for they are clean well dressed human beings, i object to the way a prefabricated doctorine is distributed, useing hugh amounts of books magazines and media to attempt to study the bible,i feel obligated to say i agree with that method and under pressure to promote it, theirfore i stoped going because pretending to agree with this method and rendering lip service to it in order to keep from being disfellowshiped is a lie,and liers go to the lake of fire, .

  Do whatever you want. Take time to decompress and find your interests/hobbies/passions. If that includes spirituality in your life, go ahead. But beware a man-made organization telling you how to worship God.

  Hi!! New Here and need to express some feelings

  i'm so glad i happened to stumble across this website cause i really need to express what i've been holding inside for quite some time.

  i'm 27 and was born and raised in the "truth".

  i'm married and my husband was also raised as a jw, been married for almost 7 years and have two kids who have just started kindergarten and preschool.

  Welcome knb! Realize by examining the JWs you are following a Biblical command: 1 John 4: 1 Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

  There are great resources that have helped me and will help you. www.jwfacts.com is an excellent site you can start with and read through. From there there are several good books I and people here would recommend.

  i've never had a real life gf, i've had a couple of online worldy gfs when i was in the "truth" but never met them because of the jw thing.. basically i want to meet someone and start dating.

  I thought, hell, I've gotten great advice here as far as religious matters, why not as far as dating.

  Little background: I'm 26 and single. I've never had a real life gf, I've had a couple of online worldy gfs when I was in the "truth" but never met them because of the JW thing.

  Basically I want to meet someone and start dating. I'm looking for any tips as I'm a fish out of water in this regard. Maybe from someone who has been in a similar situation. What are good places to go, things to do, ways to approach that have worked for you (guys) or that you liked (gals).

  i realized about a year ago after much lurking here, that the truth was in fact a lie.

  it rocked me to my core to come to the understanding that everything that i have been taught, believed in and taught people myself was in fact not true.

  when you are a born in like myself, the teachings of the wts become all you know.
