  i was in federal prison (a prisoner of "conscience" in the time of the vietnam war) as a jw when the.

  wildfire got started about 1975 being the 'end' of six thousands years of human existence.'.

  all the brothers in seagoville federal correctional institution began parsing the implications.. if you mashed that phrase up into a meaningful communication from the faithful slave, what did it.

  i just happened to hear about this through a long chain of communication.

  i didn't know whether to believe it so i googled it and found the obituary notice.. philip blaylock.

  posted yesterday november 21st, 2014. it is a sad day for all.

  Sorry for the loss of life...however there is nothing insignificant or too small or unimportant to be worth consideration

  as washing windows from dangerous hights! not everyone can do this job.

  Does Bethel have any woman Medical Doctors?

  the watchtower does not usually place women in positions of authority.. so, does anyone know if there have been any female medical doctors (any type, md, do or chiro) that worked at bethel recently?.

  the only one that i know of was dr mae j work, but she was at bethel over 70 years ago!.

  • Yes, that is intentional and calculated. It's N Korea tactics. Why does the org have to say over and over "listen to me", "obey me", "listen, obey, and be blessed", etc.? If it had acquired a record of being right over the years, it wouldn't have to keep telling everybody "listen to me". People would naturally want to listen to it.

  my regular weekly chat with an elder who is trying to keep me on the straight and narrow amazed me!.

  we were on the subject of jehovahs blessing.

  i said its my mothers belief that jehovah has blessed her and the family over their years of faithful service.

  • How can you even begin to reason with that kind of thought prosess?

  Reason is the capacity for consciously making sense of things, applying logic, for establishing and verifying facts, and changing or justifying practices, institutions, and beliefs based on new or existing information.

  JW are not allow to use reason and logic to prove their belief...only believe what the watchtower is teaching at any given time!

  Take away a persons reasoning capability and you can control them forever.

  The evil of the UN was pounded into the minds of Jehovah's Witnesses meeting after meeting after meeting; as the very tool of Satan the Devil...In the November 15, 1963 Watchtower, a resolution was written stating, in part "...To date 111 nations have given worship to this political image by becoming members of it. However, we, as witnesses of the Sovereign God Jehovah, will continue refusing to engage in such idolatrous worship..."

  • Joining for any reason then would be as stated above in the WT Nov. 15, 1963 as "to engage in such idolatrous worship..."

  "In joining the YMCA as a member a person accepts or endorses the general objectives and principles of the organization. He is not simply paying for something he receives, such as when buying things being sold to the public at a store. (Compare 1 Corinthians 8:10; 10:25). Nor is his membership merely an entry pass, as when a person buys a theater ticket. Membership means that one has become an integral part of this organization founded with definite religious objectives, including the promotion of interfaith. Hence, for one of Jehovah's Witnesses to become a member of such a so-called "Christian" association would amount to apostasy."

  • Joining the UN would at least be equal to the YMCA...in what not to do.
