I suck at getting my point across. If I was sat down in front of the GB and they actually wanted to listen I know I could paint a picture of the true religion. But I would have better luck trying to get an apointment with the CEO of BP right now.

why not have a trial of religions. Like court. Something honest. We can keep what is good from other religions but narrow it all down to one. Something with no leaders like a mosque. Why do we tolerate lying and cheating. It makes no sence to do the wrong thing because it always bites you in the end. Kahrma is real. I cant beleive the world is not unified in this matter.

Why is it so hard for people to think there can be a true religion. One that is based on love ane strengthening the bond with God and our fellow man. Non judgemental and free?

nope unitarian is close. But I beleive we were meant to live on earth forever. It seems like the JW's have most of it right. So why not fix them instead of starting over.

I started taking control of my life
by loosie in5 years ago when i attended my last meeting.
ever since i started making decisions, instead of waiting on jehovah, things have been happening faster for me, its weird.. all my life i was told just wait on jehovah, wait on him for a husband, wait on him for children, wait on him for a happy life.. well you know what i stopped waiting and i am happy!!!!.
yes i did get a wonderful husband (who adores my every move) while in the org.

God helps them who helps themselves. The wait on Jehovah part is taken out of context by ignorant people.
It means do everything you possibly can top help yourself then leave the worrying to God. Dont stress what you cant controll.

OK I will start.
here is a chacklist Ive been working on...
Checklist for the Governing Body of Jehovahs witnesses.
1. Stop teaching things that are open to interpritation as fact.
2. Focus mainly on Jesus' message.
3. Change from an apocolyptic group to one focuses only on Gods love.
4. Stop preaching door to door. Use whatever means neccessary to quickly dissemanate the message.
5. Encourage open discussion. Questioning your teachings is not un-humble. It's our effort to not be mislead.
6. Realize yours is a job of logistics. You were not appointed to feed us at the proper time. The bibles message is clear. The only intermediate between God and man is Jesus. You must take yourself out of the loop.
7. Do not ever put down another religion to prove yours is right.
8. Do not invalidate science to prove youre right.
9. Realize that everyone is different. Some people are so aberated that if you were to try to teach them truth it would anger or confuse them. Those people need to be stabilized before any teaching can begin. The "Good Sumaritan Act" of helping people with their lives before trying to teach them Gods word is neccessary.
10. Change the structure of a kingdom hall from a school setting to a true house of worship. The synigog when not in use should be used as a "town hall" and school. Seperate religious services focusing on meditation of God being real are needed to solidify him in our minds. A time of guided contemplation of God will enable us to truely form a bond with him.
11. Women are to be treated as equal to men. They can hold any position a man can.
12. To break up favoritism all persons considered for minersterial servants and elders have to go before a board specifically trained to choose those worthy. It is a conflict of interests for local elders to choose these things.
13. To keep bias from tainting judicial commitees, disfellowshiping, or any serious descisions, local elders knowing any party involved must be excluded.

Belief in the Torture Stake and Noah's Ark - My Issues
by MrFreeze inwe all have jw beliefs that we take issue with.
what are some of the beliefs you think about that really bug you, that not too many people talk about?.
for me there are two specific teachings.

Ark was about 600 years after Adam and Eve, We werent spread through the earth yet. The whole earth being flooded probably refers to an area large enough to kill every thing around. So the story is plausable for me. He could have got 2 of every local animal. But to get a polar bear he would have to treak across the globe to bring it back.
So either he opnly had 2 of everything local and th earth was locally flooded or this all happened so long ago that animals had time to evolve through natural selection and re-fill the earth.
The JW's base this on the translations of stake. And I agree. But what they leave out is that stake was just a mounting platform. multiple Nails in and out of it would destroy it. Plus you have to take into account a kicking screaming prisoner fighting for life. Would be much easier to use that stake as a mount fixture and nail the guy to a flat board on the ground to immobilize him. Then hoist him up onto the stake and affix him to some sort of mount point. This way the bible is not lying about the cross, But neither is christendom. Being different to prove youi have the truth is going to backfire.

With everthing Ive read here it seems like eeveryone has the attitude that they cant fix the WTS. Why havent you all joined together and made a declaration of independence? Why not fix it and make a true religion of peace and Jesus' message? Bitching does no one no good. Action gets results. There are enough people on here to do something about this.
Your thoughts?
