2012 Prophecy

now, i know that the 2012 issue has been blown out of proportion.

and i know all the reasons that believing in them are wrong.

but has anyone else noticed a growth in this type of conversation?

I think something natural will happen. But not earth threatening. Im more focused on what the sun is doing these days. And the earths crust.

i would say that the jw's are right on this subject.

however, i wouldn't be too comfortable if i was them in thinking that this is taking place within the congregation.. i would say that this is definitely happening where god is concerned.

he is obviously highlighting the paedophile problems and allowing this to take its course.

Once we have a definite opinion we stop examining other possibilities.

I always try to tell my JW mom this. People learn the "truth" and cling to it. All of a sudden they put blinders on. How can you be open to truth if you made up your mind that your sticking with your current beliefs?

I on the other hand have my beliefs. They are always up to be challenged and if someone makes a better point I immediatley switch my ideas. Thinking like this has allowed me to make huge spiritual progress.

Too bad the GB wants blind followers. Someone that searched and found for themselves is gonna be a stronger believer. And always being open to real truth will make you a more aware person.

story of jonah would work great too.

the point being that in the bible god has always had this correctional arrangement for the leaders of his earthly organization.. that being said, where did that arrangement go?

I dont like how people on here are acting like God is a murderer. I dont care if 10 billion people die. I will know that they were not lovers of brotherhood and love. The badguys should die. I would kill every one of them personally if I could read hearts.

No you silly goose! Lol. Many of the things in the old testament are a model for the new one. Same themes. All you need to be holy is to be washed in the blood of the lamb. Jesus christ. To do this you must take him on as your lord and saviour. Like I said. Youre being disobediant by coming on an apostate site. This is not showing that you fully submit to his rule. No white robe for you, missy!

Seriously though, why do you come here? Have you been a witness long enough to know they forbid this? If so, what are you gaining by your disobediance? You wouldnt sacrifice your eternal soul just to go on a discussion board. So what is here for you thats so important?

As for me...I tested what they have to say. They are so close to the truth I see how they trap others. Most false religion is easy to spot the lie. But the WT looks very real at first glance on paper. When you go to pick the paper up the bear trap underneath snaps on you and before you know it youre trapped in their mind games. What better way to confuse the ones that really have a love for peace. So I can tra la la all over this site because Im not bound by the Governing bodies orders.

why do most people not get the real gist of the story?.

they never got to the promised land.. it was always just a carrot dangling on a stick.. wasn't moses supposed to be god's favorite?

didn't moses waste 40 years of his life and everyone else's stomping around in a desert on a speculation?

Why do you come to a website your religion forbids you to go to. You are going against God and should repent immediatley and tell your elders. Never ever come here again.

Also you arent being held at gunpoint to post here. You of your own free will turn on your computer wait for it to load, connect to the internet and log into this Apostate site to get in fights with people.

My guess is either you lost someone to apostacy, or somehow are angry at people that dont want to just get with the program. Mabey you feel its our fault that the new system isnt coming because were distracting others.

The problem with the way your acting is that you are angry. That sort of dialogue with people is tarnishing your soul. When the angels of death sweep over this planet how do they know to"pass over" you? You need a white robe. Whores arent supposed to wear white to a wedding.(bet that ruffled a few feathers) What your doing with your words is defiling your flesh. Food for thought. The mistake wasnt the problem. The attitude was. Moses thought his poo didnt stink. David knew he was a worthless man. That stuff is in there to show how no sin is too great with true repentance. But standing your ground against God is a stupid thing to do. If a father asks a son to do something and the son doesnt quite understand it he should still do it out of loyalty and respect.

minimus started a thread asking people to prove that jws don't have the truth.... but, instead of proving they don't, i'd like to see someone prove that the witnesses do have the truth.. this is your thread jw apologists....convince me why you have the truth.. to all you apostates and nay-sayers, please allow the apologists to have their say without harrassing them.

I think when the WT was first created they had the true religion because they followed the bible and questioned everything. Thats why they deviated from mainstream christian beliefs. They are right about the holidays and war and trinity. Somewhere along the way they got too big for their britches. When they went from a small group to a large corporate following is where they went wrong. They set ideas in place and made them unopen to questioning. As soon as they did this they closed themselves off from truth. An open mind and consideration of all things is a must.

I feel they have the groundwork for the true religion. Wonder if they will ever do whats neccessary to get there? Doubt it. Just because no one comes close in the JW ideas doesnt make them the true religion.
