good evening jwn!!...
as most of you know i live in a forest,in the mountains..at night there is very little light pollution... so the sky is one big theatre screen... i see shooting stars,northern lights,satellites,planes on a destination..it`s all very beautiful... tonight was different... .
tonight there was something in the sky that defied anything i`ve ever seen... it had multiple aircraft lights but not like regular airplane lights..it wasn`t a helicopter... it could go straight up or down... move in one direction then head in another..it could do all kinds of weird stuff... sometimes it just hovered..then start doing all these weird maneuvers... regular aircraft is going somewhere,it`s headed in a direction..not this thing... i watched a regular airplane pass it... .
Hey I got it Outlaw - your area is quiet and secluded so it's a sign to hold our apostafest there ! It's new light! We'll bring KFC and lots n lots of !
Oh and plenty of those handy plastic knives and rolls of tin foil!

i'm at work...doing my job....letting, what happens to be a jw patient know what their blood-thinner medication orders are.. simple, yes...uncomplicated no!!.
i give them the instructions the dr. gave me...and then...they say to me..."oh, i met your parents...they're so nice.
they came over to our house with another couple.
Sorry Misguided. That is awful and very unloving. One day they will regret what they are doing. They are giving up relationships with you and your family for some man made rules. It's all bound to catch up.

08 october 2010a jehovahs witness member faces a year in prison over her refusal to allow her son to receive a blood transfusion that might have prevented his death in august, interfax reported thursday.. ilya orlukovich, 11, was hospitalized in moscow on aug. 9 after being hit by a car, and he died two weeks later, a spokesman for the city branch of the investigative committee told interfax.. he said the boys mother forbade doctors from offering a blood transfusion because of a jehovahs witness teaching that prohibits such operations.
How sad - that poor boy! He died needlessly for a cult. That mother had it in her power to save him. She FORBADE life saving treatment for her OWN son! It is murder. Unfortunately, everyone will consider it "vindicating Jehovah's name" and call it persecution if she goes to jail. All the more to prove to themselves they have the truth because the world doesn't accept them. They will rejoice. How twisted, sick and vile.

Welcome ReallyTrulyAthena! Thank you for sharing - that must have been hard. You cried while you wrote it and I cried while I read it! I'm so sorry for all the pain you've gone through. So many similarities. You have a great head on your shoulders. I like the way you think. You should be very proud of yourself for not letting them touch your being - your true self and you've let that shine. Good for you! Your strength and experiences will help others who need guidance.

hi guys, i joined the forum 2 days ago & i thought i should formally introduce myself to all you fellow apostates and while at it regail you with my story which may be familiar to some/all of you.. i was born into a jw family.
my father converted from traditionalist (south africa) while my mother is a second generation jw.
surfice to say i grew up (together with my three siblings) in the same jw drill... meetings, field ministry and secular school and thats about it.
Welcome! Thanks for sharing. You've had quite the journey thus far. I'm so glad you were able to get your family back. Keep reading and researching. This is a great place to share the journey and gain new perspectives.

Welcome Bloominglotus! Thank you for sharing your story. You have been through a lot (inside and outside of this cult!). Glad you found this site. You've been given lots of great advice. I'll just reiterate the "breathe" part and to take it slow and easy. Let yourself process everything. It does calm down after the initial shock. Take good care of yourself. You're on the right track to healing.

i am fully aware that if anyone in my area were to read this that they will know who i am.
i was disfellowshipped on january 28th 2010 after an "interview" about an evening of bowling with friends and family back in november 2009. i was among 4 who were disfellowshipped and 6 who were publicly reproved.
Welcome confuzzled777! Thank you for sharing. Your experience is horrifying. The lack of love is absolutely disgusting. To say that someone is unrepentant because their heart is breaking at what is being said about them is just SICK! The bible says that only God can judge the heart - how dare they sit there and judge you and torment you. I'm so sorry for what you went through.
Please take the time away to think and to heal. When you feel up to it - please research the organization. You'll soon see why they treated you like they did. You will get lots of support here. Great people who can empathize with your experience. We've all been hurt and are here on the journey to healing.

I agree too! It's too long for adults never mind children. I gotta say to my son's credit he was really easy at the assemblies so I'm the one who was always suggesting that he need a walk, a drink or to go to the bathroom. That was my way of not sitting all day. Needless to say he was very thirsty, walked a lot and always had to go!
I do think that it's bs that the women are supposed to take the brunt of taking care of the kids. I knew moms that would have nervous breakdowns by the time the day ended.
