I can't see what you are referring to. Did the link or picture get removed? Could obviously be on my end, just checking.
EDIT: At work so yes, whatever it is, it's being blocked here. I'll check back when I get home.

SO sad! The elders never cease to amaze me...
by babygirl30 inon fb yesterday, an old friend of mine 'friended' me....and once again, i was hesitant to actually accept because i didn't know how she would feel about me being df'd.
but i accepted, and she sent me a msg.
well we ended up talking back and forth for awhile, and found out that she lives right around the corner from me!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to take a baseball bat to the heads of all those elders covering over sin. That story is infuriating. It's brings back memories of my own case and I just want to torture these bastards.

It will be interesting to have the smurfs come back up on topic within talks. Not that I'll be there to hear it, but would be pretty funny.
I think the society has bigger fish to fry now though, I mean hell, there's Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Vampires and Werewolves now! Forget the Smurfs!!!

Bad Associations are the Best!!
by JediMaster inso last saturday i had my first non-witness social event.
it wasn't anything big, a young couple who just recently moved into my apt bldg invited me over.
we met a couple days after they moved in and i helped them out as they got themselves locked out at 11 pm at night.

Good for you Jedi!
I've found that the more I hang out with "worldies" the more normal I feel. They don't have orgies, do drugs, or summon demons. I mean, yeah, you could find people like that, but most are normal good hearted people.
Keep hanging with as many "bas associates" as possible! Break the mold you were in.

Australian brothers VERY negative comments regarding new "generations" ... some leaving Bethel..will this blow up in the Watchtowers face?
by Witness 007 ina brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!
it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!
others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

The fact that they have changed the generation understanding 3? times since 1995 is showing that they are indeed working in crisis mode. Yes, there have been changes made to it throughout the 130 years of the cults existence, but the frequency of the changes made in the last 15 years (once every 5 years on average), is quite telling of a storm brewing.
This generation understanding is being tatlked about heavily. Not just by "us" here, but by active JWs. Many are puzzled, many are questioning, many are wondering what the f**k is going on. The sad thing is that many won't do a damn thing to leave.
Here's to hope.

Re-reading "Crisis of Conscience" again....
by ziddina inthe 'revelations' hit me even harder, the second time around..... i purchased two copies, the version copyrighted 1983 and the version copyrighted 2004. i kept the old version [1983] and just donated the 2004 copy to my local library - with a quick warning that 'cult' members may be inclined to steal the expose.
i decided to read it again to try to visualize how a "worldly" person who is unacquainted with the jws would view the book.... in reading the book again, i am more forcefully struck by the blatant contradictions between the 'official' stance of the watchtower society and their 'behind-the-scenes' behavior.... chapters 3 & 4 - "governing body" and "internal upheaval and restructure" - contain some eye-popping material... the earlier portion of chapter 3 touches on the intrusive regulation of sexual practices between husband and wife [i'll bet any worldly person reading that would find that chilling, to say the least...], and then goes into the power struggles between russell's followers and rutherford's ousting of said followers during his successful bid for control.. very revealing... i was also struck by the fact that the wtbts was a religion with a single man leading it, until the very end of nathan knorr's period of leadership, despite the claims of the watchtower magazine that "god's organization" was being run by a "governing body" of spiritual "caretakers" for several years prior to the actual existence of said "governing body"!!!.
as ray franz states, page 65 of 1983 version: "[quote from 12/15/71 watchtower...]: "thus, too, even though there were no apostles of christ on hand in the nineteenth century, god's holy spirit must have been operative toward the formation of the governing body for his anoited remnant ... the facts speak for themselves.

I continued on reading the last couple of nights and I have to say that the chapter of his decision was the most hard hitting. The letter wrote in appeal by Rene Vazquez was heart-wrenching. Not to mention the lies and deceit the GB JC's were spewing. Simply a witchhunt. Absolute disgust overwhelms me anytime I think of the atrocities or anything related to JWs.
I hope to finish up the book either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much I can stomach.

JW that works downstairs from me in concession stand holds up Daily Text asking out loud, "Did you have your breakfast?"
by miseryloveselders inthe company i work for rents out several floors in an office building.
this jw works for the actual office building, specifically in a little mini concession stand, with things like overpriced chips, soda, etc.. so i'm walking through the revolving doors this morning, and i see her.
elevators can be a mofo in the morning some days.

Oh yea, I hate it when people over-use the name Jehovah. I mean WTF? We're at lunch and "X" witness says the name Jehovah like 10+ times in a conversation out loud. Are you trying to count time or something? Seriously, STFU!
I've always thought that if the only thing you talk about is the witnesses and their god all the time it's a sign of guilt. Some may say that they can't help themselves because they love their god sooooo much. Bullshit, I love motorcycles, passionate about them, but I don't talk about it non-stop with my friends. That would be annoying and obnoxious. I feel like bitch slapping anyone that goes on and on about being a JW. Guess that's why I don't hang out with those fakers anymore.
