Outlaw, great topic. I have to serious stop and question (yet again) WTS strategy and tactics. They proclaim that they do not perform 'child' baptism, yet I see it yearly, children at the age of 7-11 getting baptized. This is obscene. My biggest argument for this, and I have argued this with many a JW even when I was 'active', is why is it that Jesus, so called perfect, got baptized at the age of 30, and yet we send our children under legal age to be baptized and even persuade them to get baptized at an early age???
I was baptized at 15. I had no idea what I was getting into. I did it because all of my acquaintances at the time were doing it. I memorized the answers to baptism, I didn't know it by 'heart, I sure as hell couldn't refute anything from the bible on my own. I was duped.
I wish there were human rights charges we could bring against the WTS. They are truly dispicable. I'm a current fader and I have every intention of promoting waiting to be baptized and promote getting a college education.
