The Makeweight Scenario - my way of explaining the increasing light doctrine
by cedars inmany of you will remember when i first joined this forum i shared some reasoning with you related to "increasing light" and the logic that led to my personally abandoning it as an explanation for why the society repeatedly makes errors and failed predictions in its publications.
i call it the "makeweight" scenario, and one or two have asked if i can launch a new thread for the benefit of new ones who may not have heard of it before.. i explain things on my latest blog article on the link below, but for those who would like to read just the part about the makeweight scenario, here is the part of my blog article that discusses the concept of increased light (slightly edited to separate it from the article).. is the light getting brighter?.
we are constantly informed in the society's publications that any errors in books or magazines from years gone by are due to the light getting brighter.

Did you go out door to door after you knew you were finished.
by GeneM ini did for a year.
i falsified reports, had fake rv's, told groups i was meeting up with other groups and went home just to show a presense.
i wasn't fading though, because of my situation i had to play like everything was fine.

No. Actually stopped going out in service before I knew I was finished. I had enough of the hypocrisy and outright lying. I just threw my hands up one day and stopped fs, then Thursday nights, then stopped going altogether within 6 months or so.

did it begin with sheer dislike for the jehovah god...that is uderstandable when you read the ot.

I believe Age of Aquarius refers back to the zodiac which goes back to occult philosophy that has been demonized by society in general... lead by the early Christian church.
I have a couple books on the occult "Three Books on Occult Philosophy" and The Picatrix that really shed a lot of light on so many things. It's difficult for me to expound more on this as I am still learning from reading these books, but in keeping an open mind, one can learn quite a bit.

Actually, everything WTW says has been something that has been read in my own research on the "truth" of the bible and it's history. It amazes me with the amount of information out there that can be cross referenced and checked that the bible still has a leg to stand on. I stopped reading my bible about 2 years ago for "advice" and have only read it to check what I'm researching.
Yes, the christianity being taught today is just borrowing stories from thousands of years before the bible was written. Sun worship, 12 disciples, a messiah figure, all rehashed stories.

Have the WTBS pretty much declared theocratic and mental war on ex-jehovahs witnessses?
by Joliette inin light of a lot of the watchtower's kool aid articles.

Joliette, yes, same here. I was taught that growing up, but what was taught then and what is taught now, has changed. If they truly did teach the bible and only the bible, it would be a totally different religion.

They have declared war on "apostates" for decades. Just to clarify, the bible is NOT there #1 tool, it's the Watchtower rags. It's not, what does the bible say on the matter, it's what does the watchtower say.

World map showing net reduction in publisher numbers
by cedars inmp has asked which country has lost the most publishers, and i decided to investigate.
one thing led to another, and i decided to produce another world map, this time showing the net reduction in publishers for each country.. this has been calculated by means of the following equation for each country:.
2011 total no.

This analysis points out a few things about the WTS report.
1. Distinction of unbaptized publishers and publishers numbers. Not included.
2. The tracking of these numbers.
3. Reporting these numbers.
What I want to see is the numbers of unbaptized publishers for this year with difference of last year. The difference of baptized publishers for this year over last. Then include the number baptized for the year etc.
That would give us a better idea of the "growth".
