  Well, there is a YouTube video on Mind Control tactics and singing is part of the control aspect. Interesting stuff, and JWs will fight tooth and nail defending themselves as NOT being a CULT. Stupid is as stupid does.

  Angry Bees

  at one of the last meetings i was at 2 years ago, one of the kingdom songs that they sang, had a verse in it that said something about the people in the world being like angry bees .... or molested bees or something like that.

  in all the years i had been in the org.

  (my whole life) i had somehow missed this ridicioulous verse.

  My daughter asked me this today.

  she asked me why god didn't step in to stop tragedies.

  for example, recently twin baby girls were attacked in their cots while their parents were down stairs.

  both suffered life changing injuries.. my daughter knows a couple who have waited years for a baby and eventually had i.v.f.

  yes, it was molested bees or something, it definitely said molest and bees.

  I think I remember singing that one a few times, it wasn't often though, I think it was one of those songs that hardly made it into rotation because of that verse.

  Ever feel guilty listening to the Rolling Stones as a dub?

  this is aimed more for people who grew up when the beatles and stones were first popular, i guess.

  now it's completely silly and ridiculous, but it's funny how hearing an old song on the radio can bring back certain memories.... back in the 60s, early 70s i was a big beatles fan but for the most part none of their music was ever labeled 'dangerous' or 'subversive', even as a youth growing up in the jw cult.

  even their more psyhcedelic stuff was tamer than other bands of the era.

  Or Led Zeppelin... I was told that any rock music has underlying satanic "rythyms" and should be avoided and that listening to these types of music would be an invitation to the demons.

  Really. Really? Ooookay...

  But no Undercover, never felt guilty. In fact, the more I was told to avoid something the more I wanted to do it. It's like seeing a "No Trespassing" sign without the reason why, makes you curious, makes you want to investigate, for what reason must I stay behind this fence? Ya know what I mean?
