Are they really closing down branches in Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guyana ?
by aligot ripounsous ini just got this information on the phone, from a local jw family member : the society is definitely downsizing its worldwide institutional network and they intend to disband their bethels in the three french overseas departements of martinique, guadeloupe an french guyana.
i've not heard about the fourth departement la reunion in the indian ocean but i gather that they might go the same way there.. i wonder , what about the decent amount of money i donated to them in order to build one of those bethels , is it bound to be siphoned off to brooklyn ?

Funny, if it was getting sooooo close, wouldn't you think there would be MORE branches opening up? I mean JWs are such a 'great crowd' at .1% of the world's population and all, they must be the true religion.

When Elder's Fade
by zack inas a publisher, still buying the wt line that they were god's sole channel and any problems, doubts, etc... i had were all a product of my own lack of.
wisdom and or humility or failure of application, i would be shocked and puzzled at how long-time elders would resign and then fade away.
i would wonder: what could have happened.

Need to vent/ask opnion/advice on new renter in my house
by bluesapphire inokay, so my girls all moved out and we had three empty rooms and a lot of bills to pay.
so we decided to rent the upstairs room with its own bath.
we also have a three car garage and the single car garage is fully drywalled, has its own entrance and is huge.

Like someone said, she is going to bury herself deeper into the situation and make it even harder for you to get rid of her. Next story out of her mouth will be some sad story on why she can't pay you Monday.
Good luck, like I said, no offense, but she's just using you and has no respect for you, your house and the situation that you provided for her.

Pick your battles, sure, dog shit and pee everywhere on your landscaping is effed up, but she hasn't paid you in full for deposit or rent. She signed the lease. You have every right to kick her to the curb.
Renting out rooms in your house is a risk, a high risk. Renting a room out to someone in your church group is a high potential for church drama.

O. M. G. That's the first time I heard that You Will Be With Me In Paradise talk by Ciro. How can anyone sit there and listen to that and not get up and walk out on the whole thing. That was insane. Cult through and through.
