Sounds like the gall bladder to me..........get thee to the doctor immediately!!
Jeff S.
about 10am this morning i was following my roommate down the interstate (helping him move a few things) and all of a sudden, i had the worst pain i've ever felt in my belly.. the pain was between my nipples and the middle of my belly, but it was all around my body- even that section of my back hurt.
it felt like someone had tied a very tight band around my torso and was pulling it tighter and tighter.. after being in pain for only about 5 minutes, i had to pull over.
i jumped out of my car and ran over to the gaurd rail, thinking that perhaps i would vomit.
Sounds like the gall bladder to me..........get thee to the doctor immediately!!

All JW's are good for is judging people, even in their own congregation.
AMEN!
I will never forget a few years back there was this news story I believe it was on 20/20 about this young JW girl who almost died due to a brain tumor (I believe). It turns out that the surgery that could be used to save her required blood and she, of course, refused it. They went to NJ and found a doctor who would do it without blood and she survived the surgery. After recuperating from the surgery, her JW parents bought her a 2 door car. My wife and I were on our way out of the JWs at this time and my wife laughingly said "I bet some JWs are upset about that car her parents bought her since it is only a 2 door car." And, sure enough, I went on a pro-JW discussion board on the internet the next day and there was an entire thread on that board devoted to criticizing this young JW lady who almost died for upholding their ridiculous ban on blood (and her family) because she now drives around in a 2 door car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.
Hi:

I remember reading that in 1998 WT while still a dub and was a bit disturbed. After that I started scrutinizing the magazines a little more and found more and more things that upset me. Finally, in December of that year I took the plunge onto the Internet and started searching--I was mostly interested in how an organization that was not a cult could have promoted the date 1975 and later denied it. I got more than I bargained for.
I remember when they published that in the 1998 WT and I was on a pro-dub discussion board. I only posted quotes from the WT on this board whenever any subject came up. One day a bunch of them kept talking about the Society says this and the Society says that so I posted that quote from the WT about not using the phrase "the Society says" with no commentary from me. I was quickly booted off the list. I guess they did not like what their own leaders were saying......
Another thing that I want to say is that I grew up as a dub in the 1980's when they were bad-mouthing college big time. In fact, one of my friends who went to college with his parents' blessing during this time was marked and not allowed to have any "privileges" in the congregation because of it. In any case, I really doubt that many dubs are really listening to this. When I was at Bethel, the Bethelites that got treated the best and got the more interesting assignments all had some type of training beyond high school (some even had college training). In fact, while I was there I discovered that Bethel was even paying some Bethelites to take classes at some of the local colleges in the city and this really ticked me off since I gave up some significant scholarships to pioneer and go to Bethel.

a conversation with a po this week led to a request from him to make a comparison of of jw's to other religions.
for ex: their preaching work, their growth, their brotherhood, their building projects, their assistance in times of natural disasters, etc.
the search engine in jwd is not working and i would appreciate any information written about this subject in the past..
The largest non-governmental charitable social network in the world is run by the Catholic Church. Add to that the charitable work done by Protestant Churches and it is no contest.

The Witnesses teach that Jesus created everything except himself.
Hi Gary:
Actually............The JWs own Bible says that Jesus created himself.
The New World Translation says the following:
1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. - John 1:1-3
If we believe that the Word is Jesus, note that verse three of John 1 says that "apart from him [Jesus or the Word] not even one thing came into existence." This means that if Jesus is a created being who at one point did not exist then Jesus had to take part in his own creation since not even one thing came into existence apart from him. I have shared this with a few JWs and they are usually speechless afterwards and they do not know how to answer me.

i always thought that having a liberal atrs degree meant something "artsy fartsy".
nothing wrong with that, i love artsy fartsy.
however, i was mistaken.. i recently learned that having a liberal arts education comes from medival times.
I teach at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI.

anybody seen this book,.
i was at a friends tonite, and read a bit on jihadist cretins in saudi arabia, who have banned george orwells "animal farm" because the farm ends up run by pigs.. godly honest - hearted moslems are also seeking to ban piglet, and charlottes web from schools.. apparently the eyes of innocent moslem babies cannot be defiled by reading about unclean animaux taking over the world, but.
they can go to market to shop with mommy and see starving thieves having their hand sawn off (but humanely given a novocaine shot in the arm so they can watch but not feel it).
