“This letter seems unrealistic to me, even if Alice is a 'witness' as she claims. Its unusually callous. Methinks Alice is pulling our leg. Again.”
Nobody cares for her anymore, including the family members who are not Jehovah's Witnesses. She's married to her career and people are just commodities or objects for gratification.

“You're absolutely right Alice. People can post all kinds of nonsense on here. So my question to you is: Did you really write that smug, pathetic, judgemental to your aunt, or is it all made up?”
No I didn't make it up.
“I had actually forgotten just how pious and poisonous the JW viewpoint is. You wear it well dear Alice, you wear it well.”
So what's moral is poison and what's immoral is conducive to family life? That hasn't been my experience or observation in my family or anyone else's for that matter. -

garyneal said: Alice, if your letter is fake and you are only trying to gauge the responses of the people on the board, well you did well.
"I was wondering the same thing. As I've stated several times, Alice has some some serious psychological and/or emotional problems and will do anything to get attention. I'm not sure which is more pathetic: the idea that she sent such a letter to her aunt, or the idea that the whole scenario is nothing more than a figment of Alice's warped imagination."
You just described the character of this discussion board very well because you can say that about anyone who posts family related issues as people do it all the time. Are you willing to say they are all possibly figments of a warped imagination (because there are some warped scenarios)? I can quickly generate list. Answer honestly or be labeled a pathetic liar.

Jehovah correcting the organization
by sabastious inread the account of moses taking the credit for the water provision miracle and that of king david's folly and his consequences.. ...read them.... ...you are still reading.... ...ok now you have that fresh in your mind.. jehovah had a correctional arrangement in place for all his spokesmen.
story of jonah would work great too.
the point being that in the bible god has always had this correctional arrangement for the leaders of his earthly organization.. that being said, where did that arrangement go?

“Since when do Jehovah's Witnesses want the whole world to be a better place?
Oh yes, only over the dead bodies of more than 6.5 billion people.”
It's only opposers that misdirect the judgment that rightfully belongs to God. Jehovah's Witnesses claim no such thing. Neither does God according to the Bible.
Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one, but in that someone wicked turns back from his way and actually keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why is it that you should die, O house of Israel?”’ Ezekiel 33:11Seems to reason only the wicked are in peril, not those of the 6.5 billion people that are ignorent of the truth.

“I feel sorry for victims of cults ........ up to a point.
mAlice has crossed the line.
Like my father........ she is not simply a victim...... she is a perpetrator. She has been baiting since her first post. She isn't one of your nice, but deluded, happy in La La Land JWs.”
I already stated this but it couldn't be more relevant.
This association of “family” being brainwashed robots programmed by some puppet master is ludicrous...
If I used science fiction: government or religious mind control to describe my family they wouldn't like me either. Just about everyone in my family is scientifically literate and sound in mind so they don't use suggested cult related brainwashing theories without empirical support to describe each other. That's callous, nervy and very immature.
It's you that's either a perpetrator or a victim by resorting to an episode of the X-files as some sort of self-help or family-help guide. -

What "invisible" persons do you actually firmly believe in?? (and Why?)
by Terry inimagine that!.
invisible persons!.
from ancient times some of us have imagined there to be living persons that can't be seen but that are more than real!.

“My original position is this: extreme boredom's new definition = wasting anymore moments posting to someone who stays up on the internet in Houston Tx at 1:30am, who at the same time has no ability to articulate a coherent thought. I want my 5 minutes back (the time it took me to read through a few of your posts until I realized how Batsh**t Crazy you are).”
Even if I could return your time I would have to decline. I ask ONE question and this of course reveals that you can't follow any of the logic involved and for some sad, strange reason think that spouting non-related gibberish will cover up the obvious. Suggestion: Try turning off the computer, get a handle on some version of reality even if it just tickles the ears, get back to me and relay your new found thinking. Can you handle that? -

"I believe in the ability for Alice to express an original thought - even though such a concept is at present invisible."
I made plenty of my own statements. I already referenced one person that chose to rewrite history and invent an alternate version of reality. What's your “original” position?

My grandparents are Jehovah's Witnesses and didn't raise their daughter to behave in such a manner. I sent her this letter:
g82 5/8 pp. 8-9 Women in Wealthier Lands
Is This Really Freedom?
The new freedoms also victimize women in hidden ways. The permissive society encourages them to abandon “old-fashioned” morality and be more lax. Modern methods of contraception have removed (to an extent) the threat of unwanted pregnancies, while modern medicine can handle venereal disease (to a degree). Yet young women have found other problems with immorality. There is an emotional toll too.
A woman columnist commented perceptively: “I don’t think it is suited to women to sleep around when they are young because I think that young women are nice, idealistic, warm-hearted creatures who should be developed as people, and not exploited.” She goes on: “Women need to feel valued for themselves and not just for their sexuality . . . Promiscuity, in the end, makes women feel nothing.”—Sunday Telegraph (London).
------------------------------------------------------
It's worse for a women over 50 to sleep around and become callous and desensitized. There's no one that thinks you have any practical value as a family member. More like hollow and emotionally deficient. I'm back at the meetings and getting involved with a real family (the Christian congregation). As long as your grossly immoral I'll just write you off as bad association and of no use to me.
Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits. Wake up to soberness in a righteous way and do not practice sin, for some are without knowledge of God. I am speaking to move you to shame. 1 Corinthians 15:33-34 -

"The problem with the way your acting is that you are angry."
I'm not angry, often when I chime in to a forum, it's a break from working. If someone uses profanity toward me I just recopy it real big as a deflection. It may not be a Biblical response but it's better than resorting to profanity myself.
“When the angels of death sweep over this planet how do they know to "pass over" you?”
. . .you may pick from the young rams or from the goats. And it must continue under safeguard by you until the fourteenth day of this month, and the whole congregation of the assembly of Israel must slaughter it between the two evenings. And they must take some of the blood and splash it upon the two doorposts and the upper part of the doorway belonging to the houses in which they will eat it. Exodus 12:5-7
(Exodus 12:13) . . .And the blood must serve as your sign upon the houses where you are; and I must see the blood and pass over you , and the plague will not come on you as a ruination when I strike at the land of Egypt.
Are you suggesting I slaughter a goat or a ram? Don't have any of those.
