I feel that he is a straw man for the WT to set up company to buy. Is there anyway to see if this 2013 transfer request was completed to WT ownership?

JWs target retirement homes

in a recent post (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/67537/1051937/post.ashx#1051937) new directives to congregations by the wts included: it also suggests that the owners of all local old folks homes be contacted to provide a "free weekly bible discussion" to all elderly who want to attend in the home.

this is to be a planned weekly event to increase the number of studys pioneers hold and "provide a valuable service to the community" the society expect to see bible studies go up by 25% this year.. .

well, it is nice for us to get this heads up from the brothers?, isn't it?

Reverse Mortgages when elderly die the mortgage has to be paid off usually family would sell the home...if not paid off house goes to the bank like any other unpaid mortgage. If elderly enter nursing home or hospital and do not return to their home after six months then bank will start action for repayment. These have worked well for some elderly but it is not for all and just figure that the house will not go to their heirs if doing a reverse mortgage and if that okay then it's an option to get income.

the more i learn about jw's the harder it is.

I just found that this works for me and my racing mind.

First realize that if you are awake worrying about issues in the future just remember that you are worrying about a non reality...you never know what is going to happen in the future it is just that the future. Try to stay in the present moment.

I have just started counting the ways I am grateful and I find myself falling asleep so much faster than counting sheep. I even have said I am grateful for the good orange I ate that day..grateful does not have to be big things just keep saying grateful for whatever and soon you are asleep. You could even just start listing how grateful you are about the various TTATT you have found, just lists dont get lost in the details.

the catholic church owns prime property all around the world given its supreme standing in the dark ages and after.

does the wbts have a bigger game plan in mind ?

They are just investing in the future of real estate and free labor so down the road when the rest of us are dead (depending on your age) and gone there will be a new batch of properties with more value to sell and do it all over again.

Printing and Real Estate Developers nothing more of course, thanks to the faithful who give their time and money to make a corporation richer while they are beaten with the word to questions themselves if they are doing enough for Jehovah.

Yes,

When I was active there were several that I knew of on welfare and elders on disability. In fact one elder in the construction trade I knew was not working so my husband (not a JW) called him and offered him a job, but was told No he can't work due to being injured and on disability. Same week my husband was driving to pick me up from house next to this elder, saw him with surf board heading up to his car when he saw my husband's truck coming down the street, he ducked down so not to be seen, but he was seen!

My husband was so disgusted and I had no answer to why this elder would do this but I never questioned the elder or told anyone until after I faded.

There are so many living off the system but I guess thinking they are out in service some way justifies their actions.

Jon and Desirous you hit the nail on the head. When I began to question the teachings an elder stopped by with CO and I invited them in and up came the subject of my questioning the changing teachings and said I was reading the Bible and double checking the teachings as shown in the WT and Books.

CO basicallys said, using his hand going from wide down to narrow space, that when I was done researching the Bible and our teachings, I still had to come "inline with what the Organization Teaches" as we all can't be teaching a different opinion than our literature.

That was 10 years ago and I am still on their Do Not Call List but no action was ever taken against me.

I have more love for mankind that ever possible as a JW.

I don't think there is enough room here for a list. But add me to it and was just told by my friend her daughter had baby and will not let her see her new grandaughter because she is df for reading book on afterlife.

last week friday i was delayed in going to work, for which i am glad.

it was an opportunity for me to help my gran one last time.

she thanked me, told me she loved me and that i would be very blessed.
