If you believe in demons, which things you still believe?

Finger: I believe in demons. Because we had trouble when I was young.
What kind of trouble? I had "trouble" keeping my bed dry when I was young but that's because my dreams were very realistic. Wish I could've blamed that on demons.

No. Atheism doesn't try to explain that. It's - more or less - a lack of belief in a deity/deities.
My question to you is this: Do any other belief systems explain your anecdote? If something unexplainable happens and you assign a supernatural (for example, demons) explanation to it, what you are in effect saying is....
something unexplainable happened = demons = I can explain it!
In reality, if something like that cannot be explained it just remains unexplained. Nothing more.

JD, out of curiosity, how many cousins and what was the name? I'm not at all trying to discredit, I'm just wondering if you had like 5 cousins and the name was Mary or something.... There's got to be some way to calculate the probability based on a little more info. It would be interesting to know.

TEC, I respect your reasoning and open-mindedness. That's why I can't argue with you about stuff.
Nickolas: There is no paranormal.
While I personally don't have any belief in the paranormal, I have a strong distaste for dogmatic & unscientific comments like this.

TEC, I'm stupidER. What's the worst that could happen? An invisible force causes the thingie to move and I gain a bit of belief in the supernatural? Then that could be good for me from a faith perspective, right?
Oh, and don't worry about posting on this thread. Mrs. Jaheshua Miscahja tells me that spirits are computer illiterate.

TEC, did it, like... wiggle... or slowly and steadily move from one letter to another, spelling out a whole word, without ever being touched? I'm not trying to debunk, I really would like to know the gory details. Like others, I've been tempted to go buy one to see if I could convince myself of the supernatural but I worry it would be a waste.

by cyberjesus inso, many in here disagree with many aspects of science because they go against their own personal beliefs.
so lets all get smarter here and do some research.
if you have something that you dont agree with science because it goes against what your religion tell us and lets all do some research about it.. if we cant find any evidence of it we will switch to disagree with science.

CJ, I think you and I should go on a campaign together to spread QualiSoup and TheraminTrees videos through the entire school system. It should be required watching.
Those guys are incredible communicators, IMO.
