The Trinity

what scriptural basis is there for believing in the trinity?
i can understand some having the view that jesus/jehovah both can be worshipped, and the view that jesus should be, but where in the bible is the holy spirit worshipped?

The art of letting go
by journey-on ini have had to let go of many things in my life.
as i look back, i realize i might have made some mistakes in the process and procedure whereby it was accomplished.. when one decides to leave something or someone they have loved deeply, it is difficult, if not impossible (for some), to just turn loose.
there are physical, emotional, and psychic pains that comes with it.

I'm wondering about this myself. I've got some crap to share along these lines but I keep putting it off because it'll be a long post. But events have taken a turn and what had been excellent progress towards letting go came to an abrupt halt a few weeks back. Now I'm stewing in my juices and it wreaks so I'm very close to ripping it.

To Dissassociate or just Fade into Inactivity ? Your Choice ? Reasons ?
by flipper inthis has been asked before, however i thought it may be good for newer members of the board to read some of our reasons on how we decided to exit the jw cult and why we decided to do it the way we did.. first off - i have been faded for almost 8 years.
essentially i decided to fade into inactivity and not da because i have elderly jw parents who would shun me if i did get dfed or daed myself.
also- i like keeping open the possibilities that some of my many jw relatives may in time start doubting and have questions and reach out to me in my inactive state.

Christians used to be sure of what they believed...
by THE GLADIATOR inrecent events on this board have got me thinking, which is no small feat.
christians are arguing more with each other than with atheists.. christians used to be sure of what they believed solid in their faith and certain of its foundation cornerstone and what he was called.
only non-believers cast doubt and were crushed under a mountain of bible passages that were heaped upon them.

Confirmation Bias
by allelsefails ini've read a lot of crap in my life (not just wts) and i have finally found the phrase to describe almost every religious wrting i've read.
"confirmation bias" affects how jws look at historical facts, how dems and repubs look at economic facts, or how all people look at information presented to them.
i still go to meetings every once in a while to make my wife and my boss feel better about me, but sometimes i can't believe how idiotic some things are.
