My ex got counselled by an elders wife for wearing a denim skirt. It was down to her calves so discreet an all. But this other piousnear sister never got counselled for her super tight skirts with the long crack down the side. I also got counselled for missing meetings when I was in the middle of building my house. And also for missing meetings and being inactive in the fs when my baby was born just to name a few. Oh also for working to much. And all these things I was counselled on I was told I could have privileges (passing the mikes, reading the wt etc..) If they were improved. Sorry I don't need your goddamn watchtower stripes to make me feel important. It works for that 35 year old ms brother who's still single and cleans windows cuz he needs that "pat on the shoulder" to make him feel important.

Sounds like a carbon copy of my marriage which ultimately led to me leaving the org. I'm telling u its no fun. I literally detested going home, like you, a prisoner in ur own life. I cut her out and I cut out the cult...it took a little while like any major surgery recovery...and its good to be free. Besides making stupid mistakes which I can only blame myself for and which are human (not cuz I don't have the spirit of the wts with me) Take the time to think things through, lay out a gameplan and go for it without looking back.

please note that i have tried running nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

Ladies ladies!! Sounds like you have a complicated problem with a simple solution. All you have to do to fix this problem is install the latest version of smile 5.0, update your old hard drive with the newest version of sex drive 6.9 and ur set! Turn on the new system and be amazed at how smooth and fast everything runs. Lol! If that doesn't work, then change the whole thing for a new one, they sometimes are defective.

Wow!! How can I say emotional abuse!! The part where you describe bursting into tears for no reason out of the blue, on and off meds etc...ur not alone. I'm a grown man with no recorded or diagnosed mental illness and just the shock of losing ur whole family and friends and the whole "support system" overnight is enough of a mental shock to make you have feelings like this. Don't worry ur normal. I'm a grown man and have episodes like this where I'll just start crying for no reason (the real reason behind it though is the pain of losing my family and the injustices that you've had to go through at the hands of the wts. Good luck and hang in there. Things WILL get better with time.

Good luck!! If there are no major marital problems, try and keep your wife on your side. In other words don't make any big rash moves. Evidently she is still brainwashed by the society and she probably has the elders "helping" her without your knowledge. I personally know elders that have literally split up families by telling the wife or husband that they can get a scriptural divorce based on spiritual endangerment...or in laymans terms based on the fact that you can see through the whole scam they will try to cut you out of the picture. Its sad but it happens. Instead try the approach that you've been praying about several things you don't agree with and that you have come to the conclusion that all is not as rosy and unblemished as it appears in the org. Show her all your findings based on the bible and their own literature from the wts. This will slowly get her thinking as jws are taught to hear selectively. Open up to hard and fast and they'll dismiss you as an apostate. Even trying the "I was wondering if you could do some research on a topic I have a hard time understanding, like the generation flop. This way she can come to a realization that a lot of things are just plain silly. Always focus on one topic and one topic only as if not you'll get lost in the jw shuffle. They're famous for changing the topic when they're wrong or they can't answer the question. Good luck!! I hope your wife comes around as its no fun having to be single again especially with kiddies. But like someone I admire once said, "its better to stand alone with the truth than surrounded by a buncha sellouts with lies"

You'll laugh but this whole thread sounds like a single pineer brother making a covert attempt to pick up. His utter lack of people skills when it comes to life and the opposite sex reaks of the wts. Actually reminds me of a few single pioneer bros in my old cong. They'd make a horrid attempt at picking up, leave one of their business cards...which was for some type of window cleaning/janitorial business.
