Shunning family and friends who were there for you when the wts tossed you like a bag of trash is both hypocritical and shows them for the real "pussies" they really are. With the witnesses there's always two ways: "jehovahs way" which is basically a rendition of the wts's twisted take on the bible, then there's the witness way, which is basically the same thing. Either way you are led to believe that there is no other way. My best friend who has recently gone back has completely shunned me. That hurts a bit cuz we really went through some heavy stuff together. I'm just a fader as of now but I've noticed that my immediate family and friends have cut back bigtime in their association with me. Too bad. They brag about their neutral worldwide brotherhood that's basically propped up on base of sand and how they don't go to war and kill their brothers yet they'll live their whole lives as an estranged family because of different religious viewpoints. Talk about a unifying religion!

Just talked to a brother in the service department and he hung up on me!
by life is to short inok so last sunday was my last meeting.
i have been in contact with the service department over this problem with the child molesters in my hall, i have written many, many letters begging for help, i have gotten nothing for help from them, but to wait on jehovah and pray more study more, etc.
so i want them to know that they they win they have weeded me out from the "truth" i am a bad seed from satan as i cannot abide by how we handle child molesters.

Yep, that's typical elder behaviour. Talk shit, wait for you to tell em their full of it, then trap you into a jc and diff you for apostasy, causing divisions and slander. I agree titus, I think ur a bit too quick to judge my friend. Unless you have lived or know someone personally who has lived the pedophile in the congregation you don't know what its like the "body" of power hungry men with their own personal agendas ( I've known an ms who up and moved to a foreign country to serve where the need was greater because he could get promoted to an elder as their was a need. He wasn't getting upped here in north america so he decided to split. Hard to believe but I've never ceased to be surprised by the jw elders and their behaviour towards "the flock". Good luck!!

Wow!! Your story is exactly the same as mine only my ex was never really into the "truth". I was more into it than her and she kinda wore off on me. So I guess when push came to shove I didn't have a hard time saying bye to the wts. I was married at 18 too and it lasted about 6 yrs. If you can, make it work. Especially when there are kids involved. I know it sounds kinda sneaky but you'd be much happier out of the wts with your hubby than in. I know personally, the source of the majority of my fights with my ex were because of the "truth". But telling u from experience try to make it work. At least if in the end it doesn't, you can't say u didn't try.

I attended 2 khs in my time with em. There was one in each hall. What I'm not sure of is does every cong report ALL partakers ?? I know in each case they were both severely depressed and borderline schizo, but the elders always said "you never know, jah will choose his people amongst the humble" So basically if ur a crackpot then you have a good chance of having a priviledged position in the wts even though you have just lost your mind. And then they preach down to other religions who claim to have had miraculous events occur to them and they call em apostates and false prophets who are seeking a high place for themselves. What they don't realize is that they are right in the same basket.
