Lol! Haha! Nice one moshe!! I've personally used the whole friends excuse and it meant different things at different times for me. For example: when I know I am at a place in my life that I know i don't have time/mindset to commit to a relationship, I'd rather not disappoint and would rather be friends without the wierd morning after. If I meet a girl that I'm into but I'm not ready for a long term thing that's the way I approach it as when my situation changes I'd have already gotten to know her and there's not much ice to break. I usually try to tell them straight though "listen I really like you and am into you, but I'm not ready for a relationship." On the flipside, if I Am in a position that I'm ready for a serious thing and I date a girl a few times and I see things I'm not fond of or It doesn't click, then I could use the same same phrase and it means subtly that I don't wanna pursue things any further. If I see she doesn't get it though ill usually elaborate. I guess the best way is to askdirect. You'll get the answer right away.

Blood Fractions
by alice.in.wonderland insomeone is pressing me about blood fractions on an unrelated thread, so i just moved the topic to an appropriate location.. "the point for me in every thread you touch is your sickening dishonesty and nauseating apologies for the old men in brooklyn who tell you what to do.. they have told you that products made from blood don't use blood, and you are so corrupt and gullible you just accept it.".
i accept any bible-based religion that adheres to the bible as its authority.. the purpose of this magazine, the watchtower, is to honor jehovah god, the supreme ruler of the universe.
just as watchtowers in ancient times enabled a person to observe developments from afar, so this magazine shows us the significance of world events in the light of bible prophecies.

Hmmm...looks like alice bailed on us. I was really hoping she/he could shed some lite on this. The classic jw special...start preaching a load of BS that makes no friggin sense to begin with, refuse to address the questions and issues that are raised that blow your dogma outta this world. Insult the ones whom you can't answer cuz its easier than answering their questions and then drop the subject like a hot potato. Oh and I forgot the most important part, quickly rinse brain and feel good about the seeds of untruth u planted. Don't worry alice we'll welcome you with open arms when you wake up from your watchtower slumber party. Were all very nice people and won't judge you. But god please don't come here talking sh!t about something you don't fully understand or from looking at your posts, something u don't understand in the least. Another point for the "apostate" team.

How do you handle the wickedness going on today?
by stillin9 inwe know in the jw realm, satan is believed to be the main cause of all the wickedness going on in our world today.
after taking a quick look at news headlines, and seeing the crap going on around us, i personally don't find that so hard to believe.
but i wanted to see how you guys handle the tragedies and wickedness going on around us?

Media media media. Just as the WTS uses its "media" (ie: books, tracts, dvd's, meetings and assemblies) to control its followers and dictate what one should believe, so our government uses media to keep us the population living the productive little life that keeps the big wheel turning. Evil and wickedness have ALWAYS been around. Look in the bible for scads of examples of evilness and horrible crimes committed against humanity. Like it was pointed out...technology permits us to be bombarded with constant bad news and their so called hurricanes and disasters in one place after another all of a sudden takes on a whole new meaning. Things are not necessarily worse, we just hear a lot more bad things because of the media outlets.

I consider myself to be a pretty likeable guy. All the older sisters really liked me and I remember and look back fondly at the days of helping out those blessed widows and widowers. I don't think they really think of me as a bad evil guy cuz I don't practice their faith. As the bible says "faith without works is dead" I think even though I'm far away from the cong I grew up in their are certain ones who know me for who I am and respect that and remember me for the good I did. I do get the "when are you coming back?" And "we miss you" and "jehovah loves you". My cong that I attended after moving away is a different story. Shunning at its best and judgment as if they were passing it down themselves. Oh right that's how it is. I think if I were dying on the side of the road they'd cross over to the other side so they don't have to associate with an apostate devil worshiper. Oh well.

Alice dear. Please help me understand something about the whole blood thingy. I've tried to have this explained to me by a few elders and several other "pillars" in the cong. But nobody could answer. The GB prohibits donating lifesaving blood. Where do you jw's get your "fractions" from? No need to answer ill do it for you. They get their fractions from blood donors who regularly donate to blood banks. That being said, shouldn't it be a "conscience" matter whether you want to donate blood. Jws say they abstain from blood but they don't. For anyone who was made in gods image (intelligent, thinker, logical) then the whole blood issue is not an issue. We know the context of the scriptures used to defend the WTS blood doctrine. We all know it was talking about animals that were unbled or the actual eating/drinking of animal blood that many "spiritual babes" at the time were practicing. I was on the official wts website reading the whole blood doctrine and it just makes zero sense. They say hemoglobin is a "conscience matter" yet hemoglobin is taken directly from red blood cells and make up 1/3 of that component. So tell me why you won't be shunned for gettin a transfusion of hemoglobin, which is 33% of what makes up red blood cells, but you will get diffed for taking red blood cells. Nowhere in the bible does it say or even remotely hint that its ok to split up the components of blood and then fraction it off and then its ok cuz its not whole blood. Look on the WTS site......they say exactly the same thing!!! Also if you look on any medical website or the red cross site you'll find some interesting info that blows all of the WTS missquotes from doctors who are evidently PRO-TRANSFUSION, google any doctors name you find on the WTS site and you'll see that they DON'T advocate rejecting transfusions. So will I become a martyr or let my child become a martyr for some manmade interpretation of what they think god thinks? I think not. Especially given their track record. When it comes to this issue the GB are worse than the pharisees.

Ladylee: your childhood sounds like a common vein we all share. Myself personally I grew up in a very poor family. One thing I do notice is that if you are poor and a JW who doesn't dress in brandnew pinstripe moores suit lol then ur considered the "reject" of the cong. I got sick of it and got a job part time at the age of 13. But you are right. The whole "click" groupie thing that is so common disgusts me. it must be really bad growing up in the WTS not having any or many friends inside and not allowed to associate with anyone outside the org. I knew I had been marked as soon as I stopped hearing from my JW "friends" whom I hung out with. Its like having some loathsome disease and nobody wants to go near you for fear of contamination. Apparently you can get contaminated by emailing that one or talking on the phone to them. Oh well let the haters hate. I wonder if they feel bad about how they treat their former friends ?

Recipe for a hot "christian" date. So ya take her out for dinner, make sure to bring the latest issues of the watchtower and awake. Make sure to give her compliments. (Read her the scripture in psalms where it says "your breasts are like towers and intoxicating etc. ) Fill out service report so you don't forget to record your time. 2 mags, 1- R.V and if you take her out again then you can count her as a bible study. After that its free sailin my friend, everytime you get with her you can count your time as a bible study! And get brownie points. Just make sure that if ur counting your time in the bedroom that you keep things on a spiritual note (just make sure that ya let a few "oh my god!" Lines be exchanged between the two of you and ur set my man! Lol!
