JW's have their heads stuck so far up their asses that they can't see anything. Even if its black on white.

Thinking of writing a letter
by ranmac inforgive me if this has been touched on many times before.. i was wondering if anyone has actually written the society requesting their response/justifications to the many discrepencies and flaws in their doctrine and history, such as failed/altered dates and prophesies, pyramidology, beth sarim, lack of transparency, economic and political ties to the world, how they no more than archeologists, biblical contradictions, etc, etc..... if so, what was their response?.

when is it too late to learn the truth about the troof
by diamondiiz inwts suckers in many young people who are still naive and trusting and they also sucker in people who are going through some sort of a crisis in their lives.
but they also prey on old people.
those who preach no doubt are sincere and believe what they're doing is life saving and all that... but to turn things around, how many here would tell an elderly jw that their religion is a con?

For jws that have grown up, spent their whole lives surrounded by the org and have no support system to fall back on, like my older parents...no I think sometimes its better to let them lie to themselves. Even if they were to sEe it black on white for the lie it is they would still not change anything as "where else would they go?" Plus they r so brainwashed that itd go in one ear and out the other. The way I see it "religion" in general is for those who need a higher being to blame when our lives get off track (satan is workin hard!) Or when we need that "entourage" or "support" that comes with being affiliated with an organized religion. My 2 cents.

Yeah I explained the same thing to my fam using encyclopedia and bible and they couldn't find ONE thing to dissprove. The bible was in sync with encyclopedia. The only thing that was NOT making sense was the Watchtower dates/publications. But like it was brought out the alternative is too frightening for a witness to even consider...hence the "in one ear out the other" BS reasoning.

Is the donation of Blood allowed for JW?
by Hoffnung inthis might seem to be a silly question, but if jw are allowed to accept certain blood fractions, they could consider participating in providing these fractions?
would be ok for a jw to donate his/her blood, if it is under the condition that it can only be used for the production of specified fractions?
has anyone asked the society (gb) this question, or is there already a thread on this?

I asked the question to my family who are still in and they said they do not donate blood as JWs. When I said they should be allowed to donate to the bloodbank since they are tapping it when they accept fractions they said they love me, will talk to me about anything else, but that they don't want to hear my apostate views. Basically like it was mentioned earlier, they are hypocrites!!

Interested Person kills Bethelite in German Kingdom Hall, later is killed by train
by processor inon saturday, 35 jehovah's witnesses gathered in their kingdom hall near frankfurt and sat over coffee and cake (for whatever reason, maybe pioneer school or some other event).
suddenly a 20-year-old man (according to most sources "not a jw yet, but wanted to become one"; though one source claims that he would have been an auxiliary pioneer) took a knife from the cake buffet and killed a 45-year-old bethelite (maybe a circuit overseer).. today the murderer was killed by a train - supposedly suicide.. .

Feel like I am going to explode
by mamalove intoo much reading this weekend i think..... my blood is boiling between the two books.
the mental part is disturbing me greatly about the truths in brainwashing and cultism, and coc is infuriating me about the whole attitude of the jw org.. i cannot stop thinking of my family who i have not talked to in 6 months.
not a single word....i keep thinking of how and when it would be right and the best way to talk to them.

Its your family. I'm sure that deep down they are feeling bad. Especially if you would call em or drop by with the kids, how the heck can they shun u in front of their grandkids. Good luck!!

what rules bethelites have to agree to"''"the following was overheard on rick fearons phone conference of september 11, 2010, but i think at least one rule was left out and number 12 is lacking some wording.
the group listening laughed at number 11. insightful.. .

Was the legend about Smurfs being demonic just an urban legend, or was it mentioned in the literature?
by IsaacJ22 ini never heard about the smurfs being evil until i joined the forum.
but when i look in the volume library, the word doesn't come up.
i was wondering if anyone ever heard mention of it in the literature--as in, was it an official position?.

Yep I heard the same story about the smurf curtains. (Wouldn't mind if smurfette jumped into my bed!! She is the hottest smurf ever!! I also heard another smurf story about smurf stickers and when they were ripped they started bleeding. What imagination they have!

Okay, men...need your opinion here, please...
by diana netherton inas i troll through the minefield of cadishness in the dreary dating world i am endeavouring to somewhat understand.
the words that spill out of a man's mouth -- the real meaning versus the words.. .
words: i like you and i like your friendship.

Lol! Haha! Nice one moshe!! I've personally used the whole friends excuse and it meant different things at different times for me. For example: when I know I am at a place in my life that I know i don't have time/mindset to commit to a relationship, I'd rather not disappoint and would rather be friends without the wierd morning after. If I meet a girl that I'm into but I'm not ready for a long term thing that's the way I approach it as when my situation changes I'd have already gotten to know her and there's not much ice to break. I usually try to tell them straight though "listen I really like you and am into you, but I'm not ready for a relationship." On the flipside, if I Am in a position that I'm ready for a serious thing and I date a girl a few times and I see things I'm not fond of or It doesn't click, then I could use the same same phrase and it means subtly that I don't wanna pursue things any further. If I see she doesn't get it though ill usually elaborate. I guess the best way is to askdirect. You'll get the answer right away.
