Elder said people "rarely" die from refusing a blood transfusion
by InterestedOne ini sat in on the "know your options" reading tonight, and the elder said a couple things i was wondering about:.
1. he said if a doctor says you have a high risk of dying if you refuse a blood transfusion, he is misleading you.
he said people "rarely" die from refusing a blood transfusion.

Feb. 15th WT - WT Society says DFed Ones are Lawless- Just Like Demons
by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

dead are samuel herd (age 75), geoffrey jackson (55), m. stephen lett (61), gerrit losch (69), anthony morris (60), guy h. pierce (76) and david h. splane (66).

I think they're having articles like this because they know full well that many Witnesses (in good standing) have normal, semi-regular contact with family members who are disfellowshipped and "not living under their roof". I know of one couple (he's an elder) who have a 19 year old daughter who disassociated herself a couple of years ago. Her reason? She realized that she got baptized far too young (12 years of age) and that the religion was far too restrictive and controlling and she did not want to live her life like that.
Oh the humanity of waking up and realizing at the age of 19 that being a Witless is nothing but a mind-numbing, zombified existence of which there is no end. Anyway, her mom admitted to me that they have regular contact with their daughter as it was simply far too difficult to cut her off like that, simply because she doesn't want to be a Witness anymore. I know of several more Witnesses who do the exact same thing. They dont' give a shit about it being some big "test"---they just want their family members in their lives, like any normal human being.
The Meddling Body members know this, but since they have neither heart nor soul, they don't give a crap about how many lives they destroy, they only care about keeping control of people's lives at any cost. I'd also like to point out that their bizarre comparison of how the angels rebelled against Jehovah and the way JWs are supposed to shun their own flesh and blood, does not hold up under scrutiny. Didn't Jesus have a conversation or two with Satan himself? Didn't Michael the Archangel "have a dispute" with Satan over Moses' body? Didn't Jehovah and Satan have a few conversations about Job? Where exactly is the shunning of the "angels that rebelled"?
Unfortunately there are many Witnesses like Gumby's family, that have no problem whatsoever in obeying "mother" and treating their family members like garbage simply because they don't want to be a Witness anymore. It has long been my opinion that family members who can look through their own flesh and blood as though they are not even there, would not be very nice to you even if they weren't Witnesses. The shunning policy simply gives them the excuse they're looking for to elevate themselves while belittling family members.

Your loyalty to Jehovah ( i.e. WT society ) may increase the likelihood that the disciplined one will repent and return to Jehovah. " Translation : If you kick a person enough when he or she is down and they lose ALL their friends - they will have no OTHER alternative than to return to Jehovah's Witnesses and tow the line under WT society control!
Ya......a certain former poster comes to mind..............

What Scientologists Say About Scientology. And Scientology's own Bethel. Gotta see this.
by whereami inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mks-u0q467u .
i think the wts has met their match.
i'd like to see what the jw's would says about this.

I think this is a more realistic view of what Scientology is. Tom Cruise is a complete wacko in this video and a megalomaniac. If there is one cult that is weirder and creepier than the Watchtower, it's Scientology............

Why Women Love Jerks
by compound complex indo nice guys lose to bad boys?.
[see advert.
i'm afraid to look ...].

TD said: Men and women both seem to have unbelievably bad judgement when it comes to each other.
You've got that right. My sister and one of my best friends are in long-term relationships with men who I would categorize as "jerks" and that's being nice. Neither my sister nor my friend knew their mates very long before hooking up with them. The moron my sister is with was some guy she slept with 20 years ago, who never went home, while my friend knew her husband only a few weeks before they got engaged.
Both of these guys have the emotional maturity of a 13 year old boy, both are completely self-centered and selfish, bad tempered when they don't get their own way, and totally irresponsible when it comes to money. They both have very addictive personalities whether it be drugs, booze or trying to befriend other women on the internet. Both my sister and my girlfriend have been brought to bankruptcy twice because their men cannot control their spending habits. When I ask "why on earth do you let them do this?' the sheepish answer is because they have a fit if they can't get their own way and rather than have their men yell and scream like a 5 year old child, they give it to try and keep the peace. The end result is that both are completely broke and never have enough money for the necessities of life, but somehow they always manage to have enough for things like cigarettes.
Both of these guys are emotionally stunted having been raised by totally shit fathers who either had a severe drinking problem or a drug problem and who never taught their sons any sort of responsibility or gave them any sort of guidance or morals. Both were molested by strangers when they were about 13 years of age and neither ever got any counselling or help for it. Instead, they resort to heavy doses of either booze or drugs.
With both couples, things always come to a head where they are given a (supposed) ultimatum: Shape up or ship out. There follows a predictable pattern: They 'shape up' and stop the drinking or drugs, are more affectionate and reasonable----for about 3 or 4 weeks. Both my sister and my girlfriend will estatically claim that their men "have changed" and how their "relationship has never been better". Unfortunately, these men are unable to sustain being "normal" and after about a month they start their bad behaviour all over again until it reaches the breaking point, their women threaten to throw them out, they promise to change, yada, yada, yada.......It's a never-ending cycle that has been going on with both couples for 20 years.
When I ask either of them WTF they stay with these men, I invariably get the teary-eyed answer that "he's got his good points too". These "good points" tend to be a "soft side" or a "good heart" which of course, no one else has ever seen. BFD---everyone's got their "good points too". Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler and Hermann Goring were all big on "Animal Rights" and banned using animals in laboratory tests. Somehow, that doesn't quite balance out their determination to wipe 6 million Jews off the face of the earth.
In truth, it is my opinion that both my sister and my friend stay with these losers for a variety of reasons: they take the path of least resistence because it's easier to stay than to leave; they're financially dependent on these men and rather than get a better education and become self-sufficient, they'd apparently rather do nothing than something; both my sister and girlfriend are extremely needy and hate being single and alone---they would rather be with a selfish jerk who sucks them dry mentally, emotionally and financially rather than to be on their own; both of these women will go to their graves always hoping somehow that he'll change for the better. Neither of them will ever have a pot to piss in, or a window to fire it out of as long as they're with these guys and since neither has any intention of ever leaving, their fate was sealed long ago.
I won't even tell you about the psychopath my brother lived with for 13 years...........

(par 11) "Jesus exerted himself not simply because he had a deadline but because he was zealous - or jealous - for his Father's name and for pure worship."
What bullshit. The Jews of Jesus day were well familiar with 'his Father's name'---there was no need for Jesus to go around to all of them saying 'Oh, by the way, my father's name is Jehovah!' What a dumb-assed comment to make.
(par 16) "We work hard in the ministry not only because we know we are living in the last days but also because we realize that it is God's will. He wants people to come to a knowledge of the truth so that they too can learn to worship serve him and be blessed. We are impelled to exert ourselves in the ministry, not primarily because of a time limit, but because we want to honor God's name and help people to come to know his will. We are zealous for true worship."
Ya, well the WTS is doing a lousy job in 'helping people to come to know his will' even though they've been selling their ragazines and preching "The End" for over a hundred years now. Despite 'preaching' from door to door for many decades, the public knows (or cares) very little about what Jehovahs Witnesses preach and teach. For the most part, they only know that they don't celebrate Christmas, preach door to door on Saturday mornings and let their children die rather than accept a blood transfusion. The average person knows nothing about 1914, 1918, a future 'paradise earth', Charles Russell or anything else about Witnesses, and probably know more about Lindsay Lohen's court dates than the WTS's boring doctrines.

so oompa got df'd this week...
by oompa inno call to invite me to a committee meeting...no notification of deciding i should be df'd....no telling my jw wife of the announcement...not a chance to appeal what i did not even know what was going on...my mini-serve son is devasted....he even researched it....told me to go to page 153-154 of the od book...never heard of it but it is a green hardback given to all who are to be baptized.
wow...the elders broke every rule in this book as to my case.... i have no respect for these men that can take away your jw family without even telling you they are going to.
my jw son has now begged me to meet with my committee...even though there is prob zero chance they can reverse the decision...that chance is from when they let you know...and you have to appeal by letter within 7 days (i cant make this stuff up!!

Satunus asked: Mary: So, you're thinking that the inquisitors felt that he was in danger of dying and felt a need to df him before he died?
Absolutely. If he had died before they were able to disfellowship him, he would have been entitled to a 'truth funeral' and there's no way that was going to happen. Plus, there are some elders who just cannot stand the thought of someone slipping away from their grasp without receiving their particular brand of punishment, namely, 'disfellowshipment'.
It's disgusting how these f*cktards don't see that they have become the exact same thing that Jesus preached against.
