He carefully stated that if anyone went up against the Watch Tower Society... with a view to seeking justice, even if you have actually been wronged, then you can expect to be wiped out and left penniless."

  While I initially found this shocking, I'm not really surprised. For those that are skeptical that the Borg would actually say this, look back at all the other insane things they've said out loud or in print in days gone by. A woman is guilty of 'fornication' if she doesn't scream when a guy tries to rape her. You have to let your child die rather than take a blood transfusion. If you disobey this, you'll be disfellowshipped and Jehovah will murder you at Armageddon. Anyone who questions the Organization is "mentally diseased". One idiotic DO lambasted a dead Witness for leaving their estate to the Humane Society instead of the Organization. He said "His money went to the dogs". They disfellowshipped Barbara for daring to speak out about the pedophile cover-up in the Organization. The list is endless.

  These guys believe that they're Jehovah's representation here on earth and that they can do no wrong. They are furious that they are being questioned and exposed like this and we all know that angry power-trippers are bound to say or do anything. I feel terrible for Steve Unthank that he's lost so much and I give him great credit for what he's doing.

  So thankful! Would have never believed it possible!

  over 2 years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with end stage congestive heart failure.

  she has come so far.... and even rides her bike 5 to 6 miles per day now.

  It'll never happen. The Sharia Law screws the woman over in every sense possible. They tried getting it passed here in Ontario about 6 or 7 years ago but there was such a huge outcry (primarily from Muslim women who knew all-too-well what it would mean), that it was delegated back to the rock from whence it came.

  i am already reading that some plan to drop their medical insurance coverage on january 1st and just pay the penalty-.

  an individual with $30,000 annual income would pay a $300 penalty in 2014, $600 in 2015 and $750 in 2016.. an individual with $50,000 annual income would pay a $500 penalty in 2014, $1,000 in 2015 and $1,250 in 2016.. an individual earning $100,000 a year would pay a $1,000 penalty in 2014, $2,000 in 2015 and $2,500 in 2016.. here is your insurance subsidy calculator-.

  No problemo, she goes to the insurance office that afternoon and purchases a silver or platinum policy ( she can't be turned down for pre existing conditions)

  Tell her to read the fine print. If you "can't be turned down for pre existing conditions", the premiums she'll pay will be astronomical, they'll be huge co-payments and any other number of ways they can think of to screw her (and anyone else who thinks they'll be able to do this) over.

  Why doesn't everyone just agree to pay another 5% income tax and get everyone covered for at least the basics?

  as you all know since i became a 'mentally diseased apostate that the jehu elders should slaughter(tm)' my wife left me and ripped our family apart.. the elders are convinced it's all my fault that the family suffered although i was the one trying to hold it all together.. i just read greybeard's story about his wife leaving.. how many of you have had family break ups as a result of the heartless and selfish wbt$ corporation?.

  Although Russell and Rutherfraud were idiots, neither of them really pushed the whole shunning-your-family idea too much. It was making ground under Knorr (who was the asshole most responsible for the blood doctrine and disfellowshipping as we know it today). For a brief period in the early or mid 70's, the rules were actually relaxed a bit as to how to treat a DF'd person and you could actually (gasp!) say 'hello' to them.

  Things of course came to a head after the witchhunt at Crooklyn in 1980 and with the ousting of Ray Franz and others high up in the Organization who knew alot of what went on behind closed doors; (material that could be great fodder for Penn & Tellers 'Bullshit' show). After that, they (most prominently Freddie Franz) came down like a ton of bricks on the R&F and they did not give a damn how many families they split up---loyalty to the Borg came first and it's been that way ever since.

  albuquerque, n.m. - authorities in new mexico have arrested a 15 year old boy who shot and killed his parents and siblings.

  i heard on the news this morning that the little bastard admitted that he had also planned on going to an open place (like a mall or school perhaps?

  ) and opening up fire on everyone there too.

  I know that the anti-gun/gun abolitionists will say "it would not have happened if there were no guns".

  Well, in actually it wouldn't have happened if there were no guns.

  I find that irrelevant - there are 350 million guns in the U.S. today, and no law is going to confiscate them all.

  You're right, that'll never happen and I don't think Obama has any intention of doing that. What does need to happen is stricter regulations which includes limiting the number of rounds someone can purchase, restricting the sale of semi-automatic weapons (why the hell would anyone even want one of those), responsible ownership (which means not storing your gun and the ammunition together), and access to mental healthcare for those that need it.

  I understand that Americans are very passionate about their Second Amendment Right, but it was written at a time when muskets were used, where you didn't have a local police department, the FBI or other government agencies that you have today. Plus doesn't it say "...A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.."

  As far as I know, the States does not have a militia that is necessary for you to have a 'free state' anymore. Plus, there's no way your Founding Fathers could have ever envisioned the weapons that are around today or the potential damage they could do to innocent people. They could only go by what they knew when your Constitution was written.

  These shootings have become all too common and it's clear that whatever's in place right now isn't working. Time for a change.
