I've been watching the evacuation on the news. They keep showing these huge five lane highways that are packed... but only on one side. If the local officials were smart they would direct traffic so that people could use both the north and south bound lanes to go north. Anyone who needs to go south can use one reserved lane. This would give the north bound traffic nine lanes to use.

all lanes but one or two for emergency vechicle etc should be heading the hell outta town

instead thruout the USA and around the world at Kingdom Halls the only folks jw elders will be offering prayer for will be be only JW

this is the type of stuff that NONJW have no idea of
most nonjw just automatically think due to their own religious exp that a christian religion would be praying for all folks sorta like the good samaratian was not concerned only with folks of his faith, but anyone in need or pain
but not the wt, if you ain't a jw don't expect to be included in their prayers -

US & lack of historical perspective for JWs?
by rebel8 inhopefully i can explain what i'm talking about here.. a few yrs after i left the jws, i went to college and spent a semester abroad.
the combo of studying world history, along with seeing historical stuff in person and exposure to new cultures really led me to realize even deeper how egocentric/ethnocentric the jw belief system is.
by that, i mean: everything centers around white americans.

Suitable careers for JW children to aim for!
by Gill inthe october the 1st watchtower has interesting views on the education of jw children.. page 30, in which one jw explains how he ended up in ft service says:.
'we did not associate with our school mates but only with those in the congregation who had good spiritual habits.'.
interesting as this shows judgmentalism and criticism 'even' in the jw congregation.. then on page 31 it explains how parents must offer their children, as early as possible, proper guidance in their choice of school subjects and vocation goals.. 'rather than choose academic subjects that are geared toward a university education, parents and children need to consider courses that are useful in pursuing a theocratic career.'.

It's not all about loss of earnings either. It's about self fulfillment and mind inspiration. Think how many ideas have been lost to the world. How many good or even great artist, musicians, doctors, nurses, teachers......

by ithinkisee ini have listed all the books i found at the library that mention 586/87 as the fall of jerusalem.
i was also able to link to all of them (except the first one listed) on amazon.com!
many are out of print or unavailable as new books but you can buy almost all of them used on amazon.com ... some are only $10-12 each!

look at all the text this guy has logged and all of it recorded forever on the WWW- we will be able to quote this guy 6 months from today when he is long gone, we will be able to use his quotes as proof of how a jw defends the wt regardless of what facts, proof or evidence really are
we are always telling NONJW that jw go to any length to defend the wt positions on issues, now we literally have our own living breathing "CASE STUDY"
consider how hard it is to get elders or co or do or even bethelites up on the net doing exactly what this Unappointed jw male is doing, it is priceless folks

take for example what i plan on doing and have done so many times before
i will take a nonjw let them see for themselves the info on the dates in question and let them see how a jw will look at accepted facts and because they differ from the boys in writing , they will go with the boys in writing every single time

i thought the same thing but remember the goal of 2000 meetings was to Separate the appearance of the GB being connected to the legal corp- so from that standpoint
a religious announcement would be completely out of place at a business meeting
like the annual meeting of time warner to announce a new pope, etc

On the other hand, the US is supposed to watch the Mad Mullahs become nuclear without lifting a hand. These are people that cleared mine fields with children, these are people that believe it is a heaven blessed virtue to convert or kill the Infidel, these are people that seek martyrdom as the highet expression of faith. In the face of that the US is supposed to avow the use of force? How stupid is that? Do you people really believe there's a moral equivalency? You seem to go further than that and say there is a moral superiority.
