this is a very interesting statement for it would rule out the need for "Free Will" that many bible

believers often speak of-

it is sorta like the cars at Disney world that the little kids ride on - they have Steering Wheels but
they dont control where the cars go since they are riding on that little rail track underneath

same with pre-destination- it really don't matter what we do if it has already been determined for us

once again these are the types of problems that most Belief Systems run into when trying to
explain the unexplainable and that is why i say:

"I'd rather have Questions i can't answer than Questions I can't Ask"

Did the elders keep secret files on us?

howdy all,.

i've recently discovered all the great ex-jw sites on the internet, and i've enjoyed reading other people's stories.

but a few passing comments in some stories have made me wonder: do or did the elders keep files on individuals in each congregation?

I didn't realize it at the time but I
believe (I have no proof.) that a note was put in the congregation on me to "watch me".

doug you are most likely correct- if the service desk gets a letter that the bro on the desk DEEMS
AS a possible problem publisher-

they will send

1. a copy of your letter along with
2. a copy of what they sent to you
3. as well as instructions to the elders and cc the CO and yes in
this case the letter will be put into your files with speicfic instructions to 'WORK WITH THIS BRO'

WINK WINK "keep your eye on this jacka$$ he could be trouble down the road asking to many damn
questions" SMILE

SO more than likely that is why you never got appointed and each time the CO came to visit
they would march out that old letter and enough of the body of elders along with the CO would vote not to appoint you each and every time

and you just thought that you were being trained like Moses 40YRS GET THAT appointement

we used to tell guys all the time KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK knowing damn well we would never
recommend them for dog catcher.,

since i sent my DA letter

things have certainly been eventful since i sent my da letter.

it hasn't been announced at the meeting yet, but plenty seem to know!!!!!

monday a pioneer sister called me.

I fullly understand your anger and pain- we all have it due to what we went thru by being in wt

your reasons are what most often times i hear people say.

and i guess it due to the fact that we can't really get to the ones responsible-

typical the avg loyal jw will get mad at

1. the friends
2 the elders
3 and maybe just maybe the CO

but the real movers and shakers up at bethel- they rarely are even touched

the poor elder is no more than a COG in a wheel- he is so far down the POWER TOTEM POle IT
aint' even funny.

so often when folks leave they lash out at the poor janitor (elder) who is playing spiritual man
it is sad- that wt takes these guys with no skill or training and puts Mo Larry and Curly in charge
of making life decisions for folks- that is so sad-

but i'm glad you are now exp the real freedom that comes from knowing that you can indeed
stand on your 2 feet esp being a Woman

the org hates women and ask any sister and she will tell you

my wife despite the fact that we ran in the right circles hated the way sisters were view- dumb and
not worth listening to

Trust me on this one- things will work out well for you

my wife and i are back in college

we have over 60yrs in wt and we are only 38- i wasted my best yrs as a young man by being at
Bethel for us now it is catch up time

but we are loving it having our SAT morning to ourselves after selling books from the time i was 5yrs old
till 35 yrs of age

and this sad to say is the problem- you firmly believe in the man called Christ which is cool with me,
but sad to say there are billions of other folks who have lived and died under another Belief System who would say exactly the opposite and say " Mohamid died for all men, Period. there is no right religion,. period"

you you are right back where you started- following a Belief System that you were introduced to
either as a child or an adult- the same as most folks who follow some type of "Higher Being" Belief System

you comment shows clearly that you look down on anyone who doesn't ACCEPT YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM

that is why you STATED "PERIOD"

now i stand to be corrected and if so please let me know- but to me i hear pretty much what i heard in WT

I got the "ONLY WAY OVER HERE AND IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW IT YOU DIE"

in fact this is one of the common threads in almost all Belief Systems

"I got the inside track to god you don't"

or

"If you don't accept my Belief System my god will kill you"

this is a problem that all Belief Systems face-

How do you claim to be the ONLY WAY--at the same time telling other folks that thier way is ok too

just a followup

my wife uncle was in the hospital and they told us that it would take a miricle for him to pull thru

his family are catholic- so they went to pray to this priest dude

and 2 days later when we stopped by he was sitting up in bed talking

where just 2 days before he had tubes everywhere- and his family consider that god provided a miricle

as we were leaving i told my wife that if the same thing had happend to all three of the men i work
with who are hindu, moslem and buddist they would have went to their "priest"- prayed- came back
2 days later and found Uncle doing well and they too would have sweared out that thier "god"
performed a miricle and there would have been no way to convince them otherwise the same
as it was with her cousins- all they know is the Dr told us a miricle was needed they Prayed to
their belief System and BAM he was up and Kicking and talking trash

so AS I TOLD my wife it all depends on where you were born and what Belief System you were brought up in

cause thes guys can go back over 200+yrs in their families following thier faith and it has served
them will for all those yrs

i found this notice posted on h20 this morning:.

on wednesday, may 9 at approximately 5:00 p.m.

e.s.t., bruce passed away peacefully with loving family by his side.

Your post was very interesting-

i have often wondered why persons like yourself feel the Need to
WRITE A LETTER -

for some they have told me that it gives them closure and for others it gives them a chance to get
off thier chest how they feel. which i fully understand.

personally for me i would never waste a stamp to send something to Larry Mo and Curly=
who make up most Service committtes in most congo in my view

i guess my views are molded by my background- knowing that the entire concept of "Disassociation"
is the brainchild of the Legal Dept up in Patterson

i see no need to give Philip Brumley any joy along with the rest of the gang on the legal desk
any joy

instead i perfer to be a thorn in thier side- it truly pisses them off to know that you can talk to
any jw at anytime and just drop all kinds of seeds of doubt and they can't shut you down

the entire reason they want that LETTER or that Classification applied to one so badly is due to

1. legal reasons esp in some countries

2. they know that it will trigger the "NoListen.exe" and the "Shutdown.dll" file that jw are programmmed with
the moment they hear one is DF or DA

it's like a ATM cash machine on the 3rd try with the wrong PIN Number it shuts comepletly down

as i tell my wife they will just have to come and get my Black Behind cause i ain't wasting no stamp
to send a lettter to Mo Larry and Curly

but i fully understand and respect those who so chose to do so

you have summed up the problem with religion and the concept of "My God is bigger than yours"

i work with a hindu, buddist, and moslem

they can each trace back in thier family 200+ yrs of thier faith

so that means that all the values of being a good person means spit in the eyes of a christain since they don't follow THE CHRIST

your point is on the money it all depends on where you are born and that is the bottom line

howdy all,.

the question was asked do local congo have a file on all pub-

beyond the publishers record card no they do not-

any judical matters they will

but in terms of every publisher having a "folder" with thier name on it- no they don't

i was the SEC in my hall and beyond your basic judical records and publishers intro letters from thier old hall i would have to aanswer no

some have often thought they kep records at bethel

once again beyond appointed reps-- co do elder ms and pio, they don't know the avg pub from Adam
