  for those of yall that didn't know, kristi was a 37-yr-old ms patient that i took care of for the last year of her life.

  she had a wonderful ribald sense of humor and talked like a sailor at times.

  but it was all to cover up the ultra-sweet and tender heart she had.

  WTS and the mass media

  given the extend of the abuse that the wts perpetrates on its members isn't it surprising that they don't get a lot more negative mass media coverage?

  i wonder why that is, is it because they have helpful, powerful connections or because being so rich they can buy them off?

  some extensive publicity in the mass media would cause them serious harm.

  Its simply because JWs are only a minor religion

  Ding ding ding we have a winner. Only when you get out of the org and look at it from the outside do you see that they are not as well known as they like to think. I think I saw somewhere that in the US they are like 0.39% of the population (that may not be exact). A bunch of (for the most part) law abiding folks who keep to themselves wont get exposure.

  BINGO- as a jw one of the things we were lead to believe is that ALL the nations of the earth are looking at us, in our world as jw we were lead to beleive that we were the center of the Universe

  while in fact you can do a poll like MY WIFE AND I DID FOR A

  COLLEGE class project about 2yrs ago, of course it was unscientific but it was interesting,

  we got dressed in our finest and went to Union station here in DC

  we told folks we were doing a survey for a class project and needed their help for our class, well "Worldly" folks are always interested inhelping folks get a higher education, so we had no lack of voluneeters

  We would ask just 2 questions

  1. Have you ever heard of JW and about 85% said yes

  2. WHAT IS THE CORE MESSAGE OF JW? Less than 2% said "The Kingom Message" and i think those person had studied with jw or had family

  the rest of the folks had no idea what the Core message of jw are,

  some were like the flag, holidays blood, etc, but almost no one knew that the most important message that jw carry to the world of mankind is "Do you accept the Kingdom of god, for if not it will cost you your life"

  and i dare say anyone of you could do the same unscientic poll we did and the results would be the same

  how sad to have spent billions of man hours, billions of dead trees and no one knows what in the H@LL is your message- smile

  this is funny, just think according to this poster, if Moses as asked what religion he was, he would have said I am Jehovah's Witness

  man i never read that in the bible, like i said up till 1931 not one person on the face of the earth called themselves Jehovah's Witnesses, only after Rutherford Told you to call yourself that did you then start to call yourselves JW

  you are trying to make it sound like Jehovah Witnesses were around in the year 1376 or something

  if the folks on your job ask you what is your religion , or what is your faith, you will say "I am one of JW"

  and you know full well that if you had asked someone back in 1929 what was their faith or religon they would not have said "JW" so how in the world can you be something even before it is invented

  soorry man you just ain't selling that one here-

  The same as a Baptist can't show me that Moses was a Baptist from the bible you can't show me that Moses was one of JW just like you are,

  As a matter of fact, Ozner, Jim Pellechia has lost some star power in recent years. He WAS in charge of Public Relations until the Silentlambs heat got to be too much and the Society put J.R. Brown in charge. I'd like to think Jim was/is not the company man J.R. is, because he did me a favor once or twice, and that it was his conscience that led to his replacement

  110% and one thing about the org, it is strictly position driven, once you rise to a level and are then knocked down a peg or two among your PEERS you got the Shaft

  case in point, a brother who works in writing doing study articles is viewed among those in writing as a top dog,, yet if he got in trouble or pissed off someone and got assigned Watching the World, to all those who worked outside of writing he would still be viewed as a big dog since he works in the writing dept

  but among his peers they would say He got the Shaft, and that is how he is viewed by his peers at that level in the org

  and as proof he mentioned . James N. Pellechia and another guy well I don’t want to be one to rain on someones parade, but here goes, from everything I am aware of higher educated men have not taken over the org, barring the role of the boys in Legal- but their role is only as a consulting role- the finally decision is not made by highly educated men

  Pellechia was mentioned due to going to college, well the wt thought that his education would be good for the org too, so they appointed him as the Public Relations man due to his college training perhaps in communication,

  Problem is he failed and failed miserably as the Number #1 Spokesman for the World wide organization- well he was too honest and often time conceded that the wt was wrong on issues, and it was not acceptable, so they pulled him out of that High Profile job and replaced him with JR Brown a black man who bearly finished highschool but worked his way thru the ranks of the org pio, co do and writing dept member-

  He was the smooth as silk spokesman the wt needed and wanted and got, while Pellechia college training failed him in the eyes of wt, but the years of hard core wt Society Man training of JR Brown has served him well

  You mentioned that is the asso editor of the Awake and as we all know the Awake carries no weight, no major dogmas, the real prestige is working on the WT esp articles, and when JR was in the writing dept he handled Questions From Readers, while Pellechia was somewhere working on “watching the world”

  Once again is listed the Real Power Brokers and too my knowledge almost NONE of these men have education beyond highschool

  Most of them hit the pioneer work at 17,18, co work or can to bethel, worked their way of the corp ladder and none of them attended any further education beyond what they came to bethel with or the CO work with

  So sorry to sayt unless you have some info on the men listed below and their education level, these are the men who are in charge, for they are the gb right hand men and as far as I am aware almost none of these men are colleged educated

  In the WT the WTS made the switch from Jehovah's witnesses to Jehovah's Witnesses in 1976.

  thanks for the info i will kick this to my lawyer friend who mentioned it to me and had indicated it was around the 30's,

  great update on info, this is why i love the Net Thang, if there is info to be found then you can find it or someone will provide it to you with a click of a mouse

  this is why jw who surf the net will be so angry with themselves in the years to come , to only think that when the UN issue came out along with others, child molestation, etc , they never to the time to take a step back and reexamine things instead they held doggedly to the wt corp pr line- and then 10 yrs have passed and they realize that they have beeen hookdwinked and bamboozled

  and all the while the needed info was right under their nose, just a mouse click away
