Apostate minimum qualifications

i was a baptized jw, so now i, to the best of my understanding, am regarded as an apostate by jw's in good standing.. my daughter was never baptized, but she so wants to be an apostate that i have taken pity on her and decided to find out if she qualifies anyway.

she was brought up as a jw.

after i left her dad, she mostly lived with him so that the indoctrination could continue.. she lost her religion anyway, so is there any hope for her to be considered an apostate.

But, there ARE easier ways to become an apostate. In my case I just started associating with one. But, I beleive by far the easiest way is to just send a simple letter to the Body of Elders in your cong. It could go something like this.

I have come to realize that you and your organization are full of shit. Please don't call me or attempt to contact me.

This will in fact guaranty your admission to the congregation of Apostasy. Further, the brothers will think you are crazy and if you later change your mind you can recant the whole thing. No long drawn out letter, they wouldn't change their beliefs if Jesus thumped them on the head. So don't waste your breath or your ink. Have a great "free" life.

Ah, as I expected the usual government fed anti marijuana propaganda. But my friends, I entreat you...

The purpose of my "daily text" was not to discuss the dangers of 'abuse' of drugs or alcohol, but rather to open a discussion on the bibles view of such. As we all know, over indulging in anything is detrimental. Cases in point:

1. If we eat too much, we become fat and release a host of negative health effects on ourselves.
2. If we are "sex addicts" we ruin our families, and cause numerous sociatal problems.
3. If we work too much, we ruin our bodies, our relationships (but have lots of money!!)

So I ask you, would a balanced viewpoint be appropriate?

Is it wrong to drink a glass of wine? Most would argue, NO! However, we all know that too much wine can be a problem. So, shall we ban all alcohol like in the 30's? It didn't work then. And it doesn't work today with Marijuana.

The reality is, there are many (although you won't know it by looking at them) balanced, reasonable users of marijuana. These people are not the normal 'hey dude, yeah man' type of smokers. They are business men, doctors, lawyers and such. They live in the closet as to marijuana because of the laws in society. I could go on for hours about the study's on marijuana, and it supposed negative effects, but I digress. This is about the Bible. So for the purpose of this argument forget what you think you know about its dangerous (reefer madness) effects on humans.

Does the bible condemn its use?
Does the bible make it clear that all plants are for our use, and would that include Marijuana?

As to the other side of the argument (dangers) I am more than happy to start a new topic on that. But, this site seems to have a biblical/religious theme, and I will try to stick to it.

That is exactly my point. I am not sure what all of your idea's of spamming is, but mine is unsolicited advertising. JW??'s remarks are his ideas, not advertising, and they were mostly on topic with the point of this website.

Having rules like only 1 username is fair, and having rules about the number of posts per day is fair. They apply universally to all users. But having someone (even the "owner" of this site) decide what is acceptable discussion and what is not is where the problem is. Perhaps universal "rules" regarding this websites use are in order.

Suggestion:

1. Only 1 username per IP address.
2. x number of posts per day.
3. ect, ect

This list of "rules" could be posted for all new members to see when they sign up. I would be opposed to rules that limit what topics can be discussed, and how though, that is really where my problem lies.

I appreciate all of your input on this and realize that this site does infact belong to Simon, therefore it is ultimatly up to him what happens. But I hope Simon, that you will take my point of view (and others) into account.

Why yes, that is what I am talking about!!!! Do you understand discussion...maybe everyone doesn't agree with you, does that bother you, perhaps you need to go back to JW's so that you are all in unity.

Well now here is where I get a little fuzzy. By community do you mean mind control, thought control, and, to quote the GB "unity at all costs"

If so then you can have your version of community, its not for me.

Get out of your "club" mentality. Everyone can say anything they want. There should be NO limits, if there are, we join the ranks of all the other censorship groups like JW's. I am only advocation Freedom here, I don't agree with everything said on this site. I choose to read some posts, and not others. I have a mind, and I use it.
