i'm on the brink of publishing my book.

here are some survey questions that will help me make some important decisions.. if you were ever going to actually buy a book about an ex-jehovah's witness conscientious objector who went to prison, would you:.

a. prefer the book to be 8 1/2 x 11 ?.

Probably good to offer both a print version for those who want print on demand as well as an e version for those who want an ebook. I'd prefer an ebook personally. :)

If you feel you need back "in" due to being held hostage by the Organization, do not feel one bit guilty about that. Not one bit. It's terrible you are being shunned, and (in my opinion) the Org has MUCH to answer for. You know how they are with their theocratic warfare strategies. Use some of your own and don't feel guilty about it. The WTS wouldn't feel one bit shamed by using their dishonest 'theocratic warfare'...

I really hope things go in the direction you want them to go. You deserve it after what you've been through!

Perhaps this is what we should focus on. The situation with your parents. Are they shunning you completely? Maybe we can brainstorm in the thread about ways to mitigate this? You will find so many of us understand this heartbreak here. And WE CARE about that. Very much.

Maybe your strategy of going back for them isn't such a bad one especially if they are very elderly. What do others think? I can understand that. We do care and should be supportive of you.

Outlaw - as usual, you sum up a whole thread into one or two brief comments perfectly. It's so true! Life isn't fair. Sometimes we have to just put on our big girl panties, take a deep breath and deal with reality.

I hope my post above does not sound too harsh. But it's honest. Liveandlearn, you sound very young from your posts. I'm guessing you are an adult, as you have been married. There is most assuredly a maturity issue here. Try to grow and develop as an adult and work on becoming a more mature person who isn't so concerned about what others are getting to do vs. what you get to do. Greater happiness and personal fulfilllment become more possible and you will be more likely to find peace.

Liveandlearn - who cares what others are doing and what they can get away with. Worry about yourself. That's the kind of mentality one finds among elementary school children. It does not reflect a mature way to go through life as an adult.

You will have to figure out how to balance the lies, knowing you could get caught (by family, friends, elders, etc.) at any moment. You will live a double life. You will be a person with dual identities. Do not think for a moment that you will escape unscathed from living like that.
