4 more sleeps till we fly to Australia !

just to update you all that we finally fly out to australia from the uk on the 13th.

me and sleeping beauty are getting out of the sinking ship that is the uk!.

will land in sydney on the 15th so will update you all once we get settled in.

Go for it he goat ! Now that the decision has been made...don't look back or second guess yourself. Keep your nose pointed in the direction you want to go and you'll be alright. Sounds like you've got the toughest bit sorted out...the job. Good for you ! By this time next year you'll have carved out a happy little routine for yourself and your family and will be glad you're out of the gloom and drizzle.

I'm heading to Brisbane via Hawaii on th 15th, I'll be sending you guys good thoughts that day.

What's new? Did Armageddon come?

You might say each of us had our own personal Armageddon just coming to grips with the fact that we were raised in a cult and then having to put the leftover fragments of our existence together to form a new life.

Are you still on a self improvement quest?

on another thread i asked about this life being all there is.

if so, what would you consider important to have done or accomplished before you die so that 'your time alive' would not have been a total waste?.

if you haven't done it, or accomplished it, are you currently on a quest to do so?

I don't think there is anything I could accomplish to make me feel that my life was worthwhile or "OK...I can die happy now" but I do know there is great satisfaction in completing difficult tasks or aquiring new skills.

To me each day is new and if I make it through this day with a good measure of peace, did what I could do within my own personal circumstances to ease the burdens of those I was in contact with and I did something that will make tomorrow better; I consider it a success.

We aren't human doings....we're human beings. I never want my life to be such a chore that I feel I MUST always accomplish something in order to feel it was worthwhile or ever view my past as a waste of time because I didn't get certain things accomplished. Rather I would like to accomplish things simply because something inside me led me to them or I was somehow inspired to do something out of the ordinary. I never want to set out to do something simply because I needed to prove my worth.

so my wife is aware that i am totally disillusioned and i am having problems with lots of things.

one day she can see the crap(such as this past watchtower question from readers about ivf... what a pile of insanity.

I laughed out loud and said I have no idea babe - just do what they tell you.

That was a good response....if you'd have hashed all the details over with her there and then, she may have gotten on the defensive and dug her heels in. I've found sometimes the less said the better. Let them come to you with questions and give them just enought information to make them interested.

I somehow missed hearing about the information regarding I.V.F. being pornea. Where can that be found ?
