  "jw's are an entirely different animal from manson's followers.

  they bleed you slowly to death (literally and figuratively), but the biggest harm jw's perpetuate is the lives that are put on hold for "theocratic" activities.

  a rich life is denied its members because of their doomsday scenarios' said alltimejeff, a former jehovah's witnesses missionary in west africa.. in view of the recent generation change and interpretation, please, what do you think about that?

  The biggest harm in my life was when my unbelieving father listened to the JW advice about Blood transfusions and died a few months short of his retirement. 3 years later blood fractions were allowed which might have saved him. He had studied for years and the only thing he knew about blood transfusions was from the Witnesses so he signed the paperwork after being reassured that his surgery in no way would need blood. It was a routine surgery but during recovery they discovered he was still bleeding. His blood count was too low to go back in and correct the problem with out bringing his blood count up first. He wasn't alert enough to authorize blood so he layed there and bled to death. All the Witnesses I knew said he'd be in the resurrection because he died doing Jehovah's will. This was a switch...because since childhood, we were told that our father would probably die at Armegeddon because he had come to an accurate knowledge but didn't get baptized. (as if they are the last word on what God will or will not do !) I wish I had insisted...demanded that they give him blood...my blood, straight out of my arm if necessary. One of his nurses turned out to be a Witness...she was puzzled why a non Witness would take this risk when he didn't have to. He was brainwashed....that's why !

  There are real people,living their lives around,and dying by, the information you are purveying. Come down out of your Institution and it's altered state of reality and see what damage your errors have caused the ordinary people who were simply trying to learn about God but got caught up in your delusion. Instead you turn a deaf ear toward anyone who dares to complain. You continually look for new recruits while you've got scores of your own members dying on the vine for want of a forum to voice their concerns without fear of punishment. All that's left for them if they survive, is to stick with it because they have nothing else or leave and pick up the shattered pieces of their lives and go on as best they can.

  this was posted in the men's room stall, i hear the instructions in the womens room was more detailed.. this was in addition to having a "bathroom attendant" handing out 1 paper towel per person.. i haven't felt so childish since i was in grade schooll, i had to wonder if all the tall people around me were really grown men and women.. .

  WASBLIND... It's NO JOKE....there was a guy shouting "Flush for B.M. only" at the top of his voice, to everyone who was lined up for three blocks to use the bathroom. It wasn't enough that he was carrying a sign that said the same thing...he had to broadcast it like a barker at the Midway of a carnival. We though it would be funny if one of the guys who walked around during the sessions with the "QUIET PLEASE" sign would happen to come by just then.

  The saying at the assembly was if it's yellow...it's mellow....if it's brown...it goes down.

  Sorry to be gross but it's true.

  I'm surprised someone didn't wipe with that paper sign and then hang it back up.

  At the International Convention in Canada, they had a brother standing outside the restrooms shouting "FLUUUSH FOR BEEE EMMM OOONNLY ! That must have been an embarrasing assignment. He also was holding a sign saying the same thing. Maybe they were having a plumbing problem or were trying to cut costs on water and TP ?

  We always had to clean the assembly grounds before and after the convention. It seems like they like to create an atmosphere of "want" or "deficit" in order to make everyone feel more virtuous for having to sacrafice something.

  P.S. The last symbol from MrsJones comment is of a man lifting his leg on a toilet like a dog would on a fire hydrant.

  Bible says God confused peoples languages at Babel....is this childish nonsense?

  yeah so in genesis we read how people began building a tower which would reach up to jehovah in heaven....must have been damn tall....rather then just stop them, god changes everyones language.....one guys speakin french.....another speakin russian and so on!

  can't finish the tower now can they!!

  this is not very scientific......does anyone believe this is how languages got started???

  I should have prefaced my comment with :According to the WTBTS....Wasn't the point, of all that has gone on with mankind since Adam and Eve, to prove to Satan and the spirit realm once and for all, God's right to rule? Wasn't the challenge that Satan made, that he could turn all mankind against God and so God allowed a certain amount of time for this to be proven? If that is true, what does it really prove if everytime man made some gain in his ability to get organized or makesany progress, God hobbles them, so to speak, so that they suffer a significant set back. It would seem to all onlookers, that God was altering the experiment to get the result he wanted, rather than letting the outcome happen on it's own. Wouldn't it, on some level, be showing that God was afraid that man could get along with out him.

  On the otherhand, we have seen that mankind has made some giant strides in recent years that seem much more significant than building a tower to the heavens and it doesn't seem like God has hindered their progress.

  exwhyzee, IF God is omniscient ( all knowing) , that means he KNOWS the result of ANY bet, which means he knows how this will end, which means that unless Satan is unaware of God's omnisience, then he is one dim light bulb ! Good point, but again, wasn't the WTBTS thinking that God is capable of knowing in advance the outcome of events but gives us free will to choose which route we take? Otherwise everything we did would be predetermined and it wouldn't matter what we did because the outcome would be the same.
