Songs that remind you of your Mum . . .

i remember my mum standing at the kitchen sink preparing little cypriot meat patties in a beat up enamel dish.

there was a window overlooking the small garden where me and my brother and sisters used to play (wonderful, wonderful times before the cult got its tentacles into our family).. my mum used to sing lots of tunes but this lynn anderson song is the one i remember .

it was the one where i openly wrote that i ''hear''.... i couldn't read it all, because as i reading it was causing chest pains.

think it was taking me back and i was reminded how certain ones hurt me with the things they said.

this is sad but also quite inspiring...thought i'd share it.. .

a gentleman named derek miller passed away yesterday from cancer.

he was loved and admired by many in the vancouver area (and beyond).

Yeah i know what you mean.. My parents have had to face the fact they are going to die. Something they believed would never happen. After lots of therapy i am finally living my life. It's really difficult at first as you are constantly waiting for ARMAGEDDON. That ''fear'' stops you from living. We only get one chance at this life and we all need to make every moment count.

WOW! That is heart wrenching! We just don't know what is going to happen in the future, that is why we must enjoy every minute...The good and the bad.

Syl, i got a few pages into that discussion and it was really upsetting me....Being put through fire was mild! You were unjustly attacked! I will read some more after i have eaten chocolate cake! Chocolate cake is very healing for the soul. I recommed it! Lol.

8 months.... Syl the things that i have experienced since have been amazing! Even though that thread was awful, it was certainly outweighed by the wonderful positive things that have happened! I can honestly say i am happy.

One of the ''haters'' is now my friend on Facebook. I am normal! Lol

When i read what you posted i got very emotional... I had only been on the board 3 months and the way you defended me was heartfelt.

I hope you realise how much you all helped me when i was told to post what i had experienced [and there was a reason] knowing the backlash i would receive.

Thank you, you are truly wonderful people and this planet is a wonderful place with you lot on it!
