bang out of order seems to have made a couple of posters laugh on here, as they had never heard it before.. it's wierd for me because it's a saying i have always heard/used...good old british slang.. it means that what someone has said is hurtful and unacceptable.. some slang terms from where i come from in the ''black country''.. up the wooden hills - go to bed.

I've found myself absolutely enamoured with you English people! I'm from the South in the US and, although we have colorful language here, you guys are downright fantastic! I was always wondering what Bullocks meant! There's a guy here at work that has that as his license plate on his car. That is too funny! I think I love him :)

Hahahaha! Thats too funny! The way we talk and have names for things cracks me up and i'm British. People from other countries must think we are crazy. lol

Oh my i love that pub! When you walk in you end up walking lop sided! Lol. It's very bizzare! Thanks for the pic.

But people do use the word 'bollocks' in the same way that others would say 'bull shit'.

I'm one of them.

Knackered - tired.

Ginnel - Passageway between houses.

Arse - like the American version ass.#

If i use Knackered or arse in front of my mom i get the ''mom'' look! Lol.. I just say it's our dialect and she should be proud we have such colourful language. Lol

The Black Country is the only area where they re build the Titanic's anchor, place it in Netherton town, get on TV, then have the Black Country museum steal it! LMAO!

Do you think being bored shitless at a meeting was an excuse for dysfunctional behaviour?

Yes yes yes!

My BIL would start to wobble a non wobbly milk tooth at the start of the meeting and by the end he would have wobbled it out. He was a strange boy now he is a strange adult! Lol

When I got bored I counted the legs and feet of the men in the song book. There was an extra leg that didn't belong to anyone, as I recall.

The difficult part was deciding which of the legs was the superfluous one.

I remember doing that! Lol. Who did that leg belong to! I would spent many a meeting trying to work it out.

We used to have celing fans and i would watch them and see how many spins i could count before i went dizzy!
