PUBLIC AFFAIRS DEPT. RESPONSE TO UN ASSOCIATION
by lookin ini personally spoke to a brother who works in public affairs dept @ headquarters.
the dept was formed back in 1991-92 to help with media events worldwide.. at that time, the idea was to have access to current worldwide information.
this would allow brothers to assist and have a better grasp on worlwide situations.. however- many many in the group did not agree that this association should take place!!

What Satanic Rituals???
by Nathan Natas inin a recent post metatron and judith mentioned in passing that dubs they knew had been involved in satanic rituals.
forgive my morbid curiousity, but exactly what sorts of rituals were these?.
bear in mind that as dubs we were told that the rituals of the roman catholic church were satanic, that smurfs were satanic, that rock'n'roll was satanic, etc., etc.

What you have written is what I was told by a woman in a counseling session. Unbelievable atrocities committed against children.
One tries not to believe because it is so disgusting, so evil, so unimaginable that anyone could use and abuse a child.
And thinking that the WTS is from God, it becomes dismissed as rumor or apostates making things up to cause trouble.
I hope these sub-humans are dealt with quickly so that other children may be saved from this horror.

Seventh Day Adventist Funeral
by Judith ini attended a seventh day adventist funeral today.
she was a really nice person that i had worked with some years ago.
she was kind to everyone, never a bad word about anyone, always willing to help, and didn't toss her religion down your throat.

Hi Barry.
Thank you for the information on Adventism and your suggestions for finding another religion. I was thinking about getting in touch with a Baptist friend whom I have not talked to in years. We parted ways because of the JW religion. Since I was a Baptist while young, as you pointed out, I may start my journey back to religion from there.
And, Barry, so nice of you to pray for me.

Hi Nathan.
The woman I spoke with said that her husband (A JW) took the children but the other witnesses did not have knowledge of this. This woman took her children to counceling and they talked of more things that their father had done to them which sent her to a mental hospital for months. She got a divorce after the hospital stay and he was denied visitation with the children. She told me that she left the Kingdom Hall but didn't tell me if she had said anything to the elders.
I am not comfortable with mentioning what some of the rituals were and I have no idea if they were true. She was just a woman I met during a counceling group.

I was DA'd and one woman at the bank who was also a memeber of my dance club, used to talk to me. But she is know as a bit of a rebel. On other, an elder's wife, would say hi or smile. She told me that I always had a good heart. All the others treated me like I was a demon. Wish I had said BOO! at them and watch them jump. Oh, well, so much for me having a good heart. <grin>
On returning to the KH in June of 2001, some smiled, one waved behind her bookbag, and the others just marched on by. No elder spoke to me although I think they can. I attended for four months (every meeting) and the elder of the bookstudy decided to talk with me on the night I knew I was never coming back. If they were brighter or had any compassion or love, they would have spoken sooner.
His words were, "Why are you attending the meetings?" and I said, "Ah, to be reinstated?" He said that he was going to an elders meeting the next night and would mention this to them and see what they could do to make my transition easier. I didn't bother to tell him I was not coming back. So, I have been shunned even harder then before. Wouldn't you think that an elder, and that one in particular, would call to find out why I didn't return? For all intents and purposes, he was under the impression that I was looking to be reinstated. I mean I could have died, or be sick, or need help. Ha! Like they would care.

My JW mother-in-law said that very thing to her son. "Why do you work so hard and gather worldy goods? You will just have to throw your useless money into the street." His reply? "Well mom, if that happens, I will have plently to throw cause I don't want to stand with my hands in my pockets and not be able to participate." She went off in a huff. I should not speak ill of the dead (which she is) but.........

Metatron It used to bother me when I was shunned. Now it is just a twinge and no more. Before I started back to the Hall to try for reinstatement, some Witnesses would actually give a little smile or a hello. Now, since I have stopped attending meetings, they are really going out of their way to shun me to the point of stupidity.
At the gas station the other day, one pulled up to fill up his car. He saw me, turned around and proceeded to fill his tank backwardsMust have been difficult for him but now he can't even look at me because I might put a curse on him. The woman who works at my bank(a witness that used to talk with me) saw me coming into the bank and quickly turned her back and walked to the back of the bank. Hmmmmm. Nothing has changed in my behavior except I am not longer attending the Hall. I feel that there must have been an announcement of some kind that has scared this people silly. Now, instead of being upset at being shunned, I feel only sadness for them. The poor dupes.
As to your mention of the elder's wife whos parents were into Satan rituals, I met a woman 10 years back who's Witness husband took his young children to satanic rituals while she was at work in the evening. She never knew of this until her children were older and reported it to her. Is this something that happens in the Organization more than just infrequently?

16 reasons to doubt the divinity of the bible
by bboyneko in1)the old testament must have been written nearly two thousand years before the invention of printing.
there were but few copies, and these were in the keeping of those whose interest might have prompted interpolations, and whose ignorance might have led to mistakes.. 2) the written hebrew was composed entirely of consonants, without any points or marks standing for vowels, so that anything like accuracy was impossible, anyone can test this for himself by writing an english sentence, leaving out the vowels.
it will take far more inspiration to read than to write a book with consonants alone.. 3) the books composing the old testament were not divided into chapters or verses, and no system of punctuation was known.

Hi RR.
I was under the impression that the Bible Students became the Witnesses too. Nice of the Society to admit at this time that it was not so. (just another little lie?) Or that's right, the "New Light"
I never met anyone from the Evil Slave Class before. Glad to make your acquaintence and will read more at the site that you provided.JJ
