JW Cart's Family Photos. My Pusher stole my JWCart1975 I.D. but here I am!
by JWCart insome of us ride, some of us roll.. .
family reunion of jw carts gathering together for missionary work, some people waste their time in liberia trying to help ebola victims, jehovah's organization spends all their time focused on meaningful endeavors by bringing them salvation.
pusher said "why bother helping when people are going to die anyway, focus on the big picture (joining jehovah's organization is the only way to eliminate homelessness, hunger and global issues", doctors waste their time in west africa when they could be pushing carts with literature and books, that's real healing", i still don't understand why we can't help the poor and sick but than again, i am just a jw cart!.

A very similar thing happened in California a few years ago (Santa Barbara, I think). I heard the sister only got reproved and stayed in the hall while the lives of all the others involved (friends, family members) fell apart.

Source: City of Goleta Police Department
Detectives have arrested a 41-year old woman from Goleta for having unlawful sex with a teenage boy in 2008.
On Monday, November 11, 2011, a man from Goleta came to the Sheriff's Headquarters to report that his, now adult, son had recently told him about a sexual relationship he had with a woman in her 30's when he was 17-years old.
The following investigation revealed that Lisa Ann Rowell (DOB 8/5/70) and the teenager were engaged in a sexual relationship in the spring of 2008.
Detectives arrested Rowell on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 and booked her into the Santa Barbara County Jail for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor (261.5 PC; 288a(b)(1) PC) on $50,000 bail.
Detectives continue to investigate the case. They encourage anyone who may have information regarding this or any other crime involving Lisa Rowell to contact them at (805) 681-4150 or the Sheriff's Anonymous Tip Line at (805) 681-4171.
Due to the victim's age at the time of the crime, there will be no more details released.

That guy must not be very good at his job if he can't keep up with the workload. Maybe he should've invested in a little extra education.
Once again the WTS implies that white collar jobs (read: jobs requiring a 4-year degree) will cause you to miss meetings. Every time a WTS publication talks about the danger of your secular work interfering with spiritual activities, the accompanying illustration is always of a white collar worker. They never show the self-employed roofer who has to skip the Sunday meeting to get that roof on in time, or the plumber who spends every other Saturday doing side jobs to collect a little extra cash on the side.
They seem to forget that the average white collar worker has no problem taking a paid day off to attend the Friday session of the convention, or never have to worry about working on the weekend instead of service, the meeting, or an assembly. Or that, since most white collar jobs are salaried, there's no incentive to work overtime for extra pay on a meeting night.
I would challenge anyone to find even one illustration or photograph in WT literature that shows someone putting their blue collar job ahead of spiritual activities.

JW literature cart spot pinched by another church group!
by stuckinarut2 insooooo funny!.
the spot that is used by the local cong in our town for the literature cart has been taken over by another church group!.
the witnesses arrived to set up, and another group was in the exact same spot, with a table, and brochures and a sign..... it will be a great thing as it dilutes the effectiveness of the witness activity, by making it look confusing to the local town people!.....

It will be a great thing as it dilutes the effectiveness of the witness activity, by making it look confusing to the local town people!...They'll spin it at their next Circuit Assembly that the other church realized how successful the JW-cart technique is, so decided to copy it...however their attempt did not have Jehovah's blessing, so it was not as successful.

Child Abuse must be getting out of hand if they're addressing it...
by thedepressedsoul ini'm referring to the video that was uploaded where they finally mentioned the child abuse issue.
we all kinda guessed that if they ever addressed it they'd blame it on the media and apostates.
well, looks like we were spot on.

Sorry, is there a link? Is it a standalone video, or just a segment of a longer one?

By placing the Governing Body as the entire front row of the "choir", an outside observer might infer that these men were somehow more important/privileged, in a different class than the others in the group.
It's a good thing there's no "clergy class" within Jehovah's Witnesses. And by "clergy" I mean people who's full time employment is to set the doctrine of, and direct the teachings of a church.

cappytan, what is clever about this is that 100% of the content of your video is 100% Governing Body-approved material, both picture and audio.
No apostate commentary, etc., just showing and playing WTS material with zero commentary. No one should be able to complain about it.

WTS competition
by Half banana injust now 10am friday morning, had a phone call from central london to tell me that opposite the houses of parliament outside westminster tube station the wts (wobbly trolley society) are standing there being overshadowed by others with loudspeaker and taller placards declaring "jws are a cult".
sounds like fun!.
but will this sort of publicity harm or benefit the jw org?.
-
respectful_observer
Then how do you counter high profile WTS presence and misinformation?
They could just do exactly what the JWs are doing-- set up a sign and cart right next to them with their own literature and allow people to browse/approach/ask questions.
All that loudspeaker stuff just makes them look a little looney to everyone else on the street. It may prevent people from approaching the JW cart, but it reinforces the JW's persecution complex more than anything else could, aside from arrest or a mob beating.

I'm sure some will take umbrage with my view, but universities typically embrace free speech and encourage students to challenge their own opinions and assumptions.
Even if someone disagrees with Jehovah's Witnesses, or feels their teachings and practices are harmful, unless they are somehow illegal, I don't see any problem with them having a presence on campus.
If a student feels like killing another human is wrong, should the university ban the U.S. armed forces from hosting a table at the student center?
If Westboro Baptist or Jehovah's Witnesses want a table on campus...my opinion is, let them. The students can judge for themselves and use their freedom of speech to react to it as they see fit.
Barring free speech on a college campus is far from most institutions' ideals.
