  Did You Attend the "Big" Generation Watchtower Study Today?

  did you attend the meeting today?

  this is a thread for anyone who attended the "big" generation watchtower study today to post their experiences/stories.. let's hear some wholesome, upbuilding encouragement from our brothers and sisters out there today!.

  Yes. Everyone lapped it up like a chocolate dessert. My wife says it is new light. I said to her we could be waiting another 30 to 50 years.

  The Generation Watchtower (TOMORROW!) and The Cough of Incredulity

  the watchtower will be studied tomorrow that contains the new overlapping generations teaching.

  paragraph 10 reads:.

  "he evidently meant that the lives of the anointed who were on hand when the sign began to become evident in 1914 would overlap with the lives of other anointed ones who would see the start of the great tribulation.".

  Jaracz' funeral talk to be on Monday June 14

  just saw an e-mail, passed on thru numerous hands before it got to me.. actual e-mail topic was something else, but the funeral info was included way down the chain.. location was given as "brooklyn" - not more specific than that.. probably some place deep inside the bethel compound, to keep potential troublemakers away, i reckon.. one wonders what the service will be like.. he had a lot of influence, and was feared, but based on what i've read, not really loved.

  will a lot of people show up?.

  why the heck does the society have to publish more of the same stuff every single farging assembly???!!!.

  as if we don't already have tons of literature already!!!

  My group oveseer told me I have to hand over to him my monthly service report because the congregation doesn't want them placed in the service report box any longer. I should give him fake reports.

  Misery loves Company: The Meetings

  after increased pressure from friends and family (many less than spiritual) to get back to the meetings recently, i started wondering how many of them are just plain pissed every time they're sitting in the kh thinking about you siting at home watching csi.. was just wondering about that angle.. 5th.

  recently i have been approached by an elder and asked if i could get going again in the door to door preaching activity due to not having any time in for three months.

  i told him it was due to health reasons, etc.

  now it seems i am due for a sheperding call in the very near future.

  i asked why the '1914 generation' term was removed from the awake magazine masthead in november of 1995. the brother there told me that jesus said we are living in a time of change.

  does anybody have scriptural proof of this?

  does jesus apply this to his day or our day?
