Just had my shepherding call on Saturday. The elder read 1 Samuel 30: 9,10 and cherry picked a few other verses from the same chapter. He pointed out in those verses about the word tired. I assumed he was refering to preaching work, etc. Well we are tired of the WTBT$. That was the only Bible scriptures mentioned and I was not asked about service time or about any other subject. No questions asked. I think the CO's are pushing the elders to visit all members.

by Borgdrone inrecently i have been approached by an elder and asked if i could get going again in the door to door preaching activity due to not having any time in for three months.
i told him it was due to health reasons, etc.
now it seems i am due for a sheperding call in the very near future.

My shepherding call starts at 2:00 this coming Saturday. The elder asked me if it was ok and I said yes. I know the their focus will be on me due to my being a fader and delinquent publisher. I am not sure what questions they have in mind, but I will listen and try to keep from saying anything negative. I just plan on fading away after the elders leave. Does any body here have any suggestions of what to say and not to say? I have to keep my cool.

may 2009 pg 11 , it says that jerusalem siege was in 607, according to professor michael jursa working in the british museum, but curiously if you go to the british museum official webpage, (in "search" put michael jursa) you ll see that it says the siege of jerusalen was in 587 bc !!.

I just showed my wife this British Museum press release and the Awake! article this morning and she got a bit upset and told me the 587 BC date is a historical error. The Awake! article says: "The gold delivery, however, had nothing to do with the sacking of Jeruselm, which occurred years later". Years later to what date? How can i convince my wife to accept the 587 BC date? I need more advice.

it rocked me to my core to come to the understanding that everything that i have been taught, believed in and taught people myself was in fact not true.

Thank you Dogpatch. I missed that Awake article back then. I found the May 2009 magazine and I now have the proof to show this to any elders who will make a shepherding call regarding me in the very near future. I used Google to locate your thread.
