  Would Elders You Knew Have Ordered Stonings If They Could Have?

  for those of you who used to be jws, or who are active, if the society was in charge of the earth, how many people do you think you would have seen stoned during your lifetimes?

  i realize some elders can be zealous about their work, but if they'd actually had administrative authority to have kh members stoned to death, how many elders did you know who would have been zealous enough to really order them?.

  did you know any elders who would have ordered stonings, even if the condemned people had been willing to repent?.

  I'll see if I can find the article. I'm sure Blondie has it somewhere. It says something along those lines. Maybe not exactly worded that way. Keep in mind I believe it was a really old article.

  Weird "new world" artwork from the 2013 calendar

  my mother-in-law has a strange obsession with calendars, and orders the society's calendar each year.

  this year's calendar is especially weird.

  it features images depicting future events - in particular, the society's vision of the new world order.. i've taken the opportunity to scan some of the images for you all to check out.. please note - there are captions for each of the images, but i don't have the english language version of the calendar so i'd rather just quote the scripture used so as not to reveal which country i'm in.. .

  There it is. They are reading their Watchtower from the platform but I noticed none of the people listening are following along in underlined and notated Watchtowers. How did those weak people even get into Paradise?

  The WT has said that the only reason they don't kill non-believers is because of the laws of the land.

  did other witnesses view you as "exemplary"?.

  I was considered exemplary. Pioneer at the age of 19. MS at the age of 20. Always giving talks. In a congregation of 120 seemed like I was on the platform every meeting. Always asked to fill in when people wouldn't show up. Gave public talks at other congregations. Did a part on the TMS for the assembly.

  The PO tried desperately to get me to go to Bethel but I refused. Another elder said "Nah, I can't see him at Bethel. He's gotta go to MTS and help where the need is greater!" Barf. If I had followed in that route I'm sure I would have been assigned to some congregation in the middle of nowhere and appointed an elder. Probably at the age of 26 or 27. That is my guess.

  I think the biggest problem is Jesus' beard. Would Jehovah approve? Maybe Jesus wasn't perfect after all.

  when officers wanted someone to shave them, they trusted a witness with the razor, because they knew that no witness would ever use such an instrument as a weapon to harm another human.. .

  when ss officers at the auschwits extermination camp needed someone to clean their homes or care for their children, they selected witnesses, because they knew these would not try to escape.. .

  Elders finally took me to the back room...

  after several months of leaving the meetings as soon as they ended or only staying for "the first meeting" then leaving the "second part", the elders finally cornered me at last night's meeting.. they said they were concerned about me and that being that i am a young brother in a recently divided congregation they saw so much potential in me to help out the congregation and become a ms.. i told them i was thankful for their thinking of me to help the congregation but that at the moment i could not due to my job.

  then the began asking personal questions that got on my nerves.. they asked where i worked and how much i made.

  they asked if i was going to college and what i was studying and for how long.

  Asking how much you make? It is none of their business. If they ask you more personal questions tell them it is not their business.
