i'm kind of bored.

ive been really busy lately but i woke up by accident really early this morning and gave up trying to fall asleep.

Does the Bible actually condemn Homosexuality for Chrisitans anywhere ?

i ask the question because i read a very persuasive article on-line that showed that the apostle paul was not referring to mere homosexual practice in his words in his letters, but to temple prostitution etc, so he was condemning idolatry, not being homosexual per se.. the basic usage of the word that some translations render as "homosexual" and the n.w.t, falling in to the etymology trap, renders "men who lie with men" means temple prostitute.

the account of sodom and gomorrah has been shown on here to be concerned with lack of hospitality being the sin, mistreatment of strangers etc, still a no- no in desert communities.

the whole story may well be a folk story or myth anyway, but it is interesting to see that the sexual acts themselves are not the main thrust (sorry) of yahweh's anger.. the law (leviticus?

irondork, I always thought of those two points as separate entities, not related to each other. The "Unnatural purposes" was condeming prostitutes and "men who lie with men" was condemning homosexuals in general.

I'm going to disagree with that CO rebel. Every place I've worked they let us take 10 or 15 minute breaks a couple times during our shift, all while being clocked in.

I'm starting to think that Satan guy is the one really worthy of our honor. I mean, he did try to set us free from the bonds that tyrant Jehovah put in place. If only people wouldn't misuse that freedom that the loving Satan provided, peace on earth would be prosperous!

DYING TO PIONEER!

i was talking with an elderly sister today, and she brought up the topic of pioneering in march & april.

she then mentioned the elderly brother who has an extremely serious condition who was used to explain to the congregation, how he would adjust to be able to get the pioneer hours in.

it became 100% clear to the sister (and probably others) that this brother could die by pushing himself so hard.. loving shepherds, prove it - don't sanction such ones to enrol for such a life-threatening exercise.

From what I understand (I could be wrong as I don't live in Russia and have only heard this explanation for all of the dash cam footage in Russia) but due to the high rate of accidents in Russia they refuse to cover accidents without some sort of visual proof of who was at fault.

There seem to be several videos from dashboard cams that caught it. Thank goodness for terrible insurance companies in Russia that pretty much force everyone to have a dashboard cam.

I heard most people were injured from broken glass. Only about 40 serious injuries that kept people hospitalized. Still, pretty unprecedented that this many people were injured.
