  "Look it wasn't a global flood.."

  i've heard the statement from bible apologists so many times that the global flood story of genesis was not a global flood but was probably a local flood.

  this seems problematic.. this directly disagrees with the bible.

  everywhere the bible internally references a global flood of worldwide scale (i'll throw in matthew 24:39 as a nt example and genesis 6:17 as a ot example.

  That's well put unshackled. I'm not an atheist. I don't claim to be that knowledgeable where I know for certain. Maybe there is a God, but not in the form of what so many religions believe. I can't say for certain, but I will say I have no faith in the Bible.

  i woke up today a right grumpy basket case.... not a good day for the jehovah's witness to call on me to do there usual shepherding call, bringing me the usual mags of shite!

  i stood there on the doorstep in my pj's, care free and all fired up.

  i was asked how i was doing & then informed that they had my latest mags.

  I never liked the Watchtower. I did like the Awake mags. I would read the article until it reached a certain point where the article would start talking about JW teachings. The articles would be going along fine, be very informative and entertaining and then as soon as they'd introduce that first scripture, flatline. Just pushing the JW agenda on whatever the subject was.

  I would imagine it would feel like breaking out of jail only to be caught an hour later headed for the border. Like Shawshank except whenever he gets out of the shit-filled tunnel the guards are waiting for him.

  don't get me wrong, this isn't a call for help or anything like that.

  i'm not about to do anything stupid, just feeling a little down and exhausted tonight.

  i feel defeated, even though i don't feel as if i'm battling anything.

  misery, you have described my situation perfectly. Except I'm in my early twenties. And it's not for a lack of trying to make things better. It just seems like everything I do screws things up more.
